Guys Brad (Gilmore girls) is a kid sexer. As a result he dropped a kid from his team he has yet to molest. In all fairness I put him back on Brad's roster so he can at least sample his supple bottom.
-
HEY GILMORE GIRLS AND MIKE TROUT BITCHES! MAKE YOUR CUTS.
-
Ghost of Steinbrenner going full on rebrand
-
Make your cuts, If you miss out I will make your cuts for you... You won't like your team afterwards.
-
Lowrie for Bird? WHERE'S THE DRAMA, MAN!
-
Okay everyone deadline for keepers is January 31. Do not fuck me on this like this league has all offseason. You bunch of degenerates. The OG Leisured league would never treat me this poorly.

There we go kids! Drew got a top prospect and a young, above average fantasy option. Sure he gave a massive discount on Kershaw but his return wasn't solely tied up in futures.
-
We typically do mid to late Feb. my guess is this will stay the same especially since so many FA have yet to sign.
-
I'm good with either month, but might prefer February simply because it's closer to the season.
-
Does everyone want to draft in Jan or Feb?
-
Hear hear!

This season I am going to crack down a little harder on some things. Frankly I do not like people losing on purpose ie: willingly fielding illegal rosters. Rebuilding is one thing but you need to do it within the constraints of the rules.

"It smells fishy"-- While the theory is valuid, it was not executed that way. Basically Kershaw was given away to a team, so that the receiving team didn't have to bid on the open market.
-
A prick not a price
-
Also Brad don't be a price, you know those prospects aren't solid enough to land the best pitcher in the game. Also since this is the offseason you can just cut a guy for 100% salary relief. It was a bad deal, Bastard even said he was shocked he accepted it. If it wasn't the offseason that shit would have been vetoed for sure. Trades like that are not good for the health of the league.
-
Zimmerman was cut by accident and I messed up on the salary when re adding him, thanks for the heads up. If you ever cut a player by accident let me know so I can put them back.
-
Not sure why Zimmerman was cut and then added back, but now he is $1 cheaper than he should be.
-
selling a player at the break is different than during the offseason. You get all your money back so if you really want relief just cut the player and let him get redrafted.

-
Drew received two solid prospects and lots of salary relief in return for a Kershaw that was going to be cut

There is a rotographs article that touched on this by Brad Johnson. He has no problem with the other owner getting the expensive player for market value or better while the person selling is getting salary relief while not allowing Kershaw to go on the market to possible rivals or serious contenders. It smells fishy and I agree that elite players on the market keeps the economy current, but I want people to consider this.

I killed the Kershaw trade. Just because a manager isn't keeping a player, doesn't mean they can give them away. This is especially true with arguably the most valuable player in the game. I have no problem giving a discount... but let's be realistic.
-
To have a healthy dynasty league we need to realize that moves have a larger effect than just your team.
-
Having elite players like this thrown back into the pot keeps our economy current.
-
That trade isn't okay. Just becuase you weren't keeping Kershaw it isn't fair that you gave him away. I shouldn't have to be having this conversation.
-
Love you too Spencer

All of that said, I'm still very open for business. So if anyone else wants to try to take advantage of my eagerness to trade or affinity for Yankees, game on! ;)
-
Good info, valid points. In all honesty, a small-medium percentage of my decision was likely influenced by my eagerness to make a trade, not to mention receiving a young Yankees pitcher with a lot of promise. But, as you guessed, it was also due to the fact that I very likely would have cut Scherzer before the start of the season. Ultimately, I like the idea of having two guys I can control for a while versus a guy who is very close to pricing himself out of keepability (not a word).
-
I also don't think it's horrible you moved a $49 Scherzer but he was the 4th best pitcher and top 10 player in our league last season. Given your team name and Luis Severino's likely place on most people's top 10-15 prospect list for 2016 I get why you wanted him. I just think it probably would have cost less than Scherzer. Now if you weren't keeping Scherzer my comment is moot.
-
After arb and before final cuts is a down time in Ottoneu. I attribute this to being fantasy football playoff time and the holidays. Trading typically picks up right near the drop deadline and then will go crazy after the draft.
-
That bad, huh?
-
You know that trade is suspect.
-
No worries - I had a few just sitting there, so I actually thought maybe I was doing something wrong. Nice to know I wasn't. :)
-
@TGoS: sorry I let your offer wither on the vine. Was unfortunately offline for a few days.

I'd offer you Reyes and/or Lowrie, but my trade proposals have the tendency to sit and rot at the top of this page ... very odd.
