• any idea on draft day/time? trying to avoid double booking drafts this time of year...thanks

• Hey all, final reminder, today is cutdown day. Please make sure you get this done or you'll have to live with the consequences until after the draft. Looks like most of our teams are at least partially finalized but we have a few managers working with illegal rosters still.
  
  Also tomorrow is payment deadline day, I'll follow up then with anyone who still hasn't done that. Please try to get it done.

• There may be some confusion here - we have always been straight 20 like the rest of Ottoneu, the platform itself enforces this. When you exceed this roster limit (or the salary cap) you are locked out of normal activities until it is fixed. What our former commissioner was talking about doing was arbitrarily cutting players on teams that violated this limit by a certain amount. I am not inclined to personally enforce any made up rules outside of the Ottoneu rulebook, but if anyone has strong feelings on this please propose a rule and we can put it to a vote.

• Looking for some clarification on rosters (prospect hoarding) for next season, was it decided that 30 was going to be a limit after this season, or are we just gonna go straight 20 like the rest of ottoneu? trying to decide on acquiring a few players leading up to this keeper deadline but may hinge on what the roster keep limit will be going into next season, if we haven't figured that out yet, thats cool too, just wasnt sure i hadnt missed anything

• Another equally if not more important reminder, make sure to pay for the upcoming season this week! If you do not, your team will become available for anyone to claim on August 1st. Looks like this still applies to just about everyone in the league, I'll keep a close eye on this (as well as final cuts) and reach out directly to certain offenders as the deadlines approach. If you could save me the trouble that would be greatly appreciated.

  Just a reminder, the keeper deadline is this Sunday, 7/31. Be sure to make your final cuts by then as rosters will lock until the draft. This also serves as the pre-draft trade deadline, so there is still some time to wheel and deal.
  
  Also, per the last update I sent out, I have moved us to one big division. Objections will no longer be accepted.

• Thank you to everyone for completing arbitration! Few orders of business and then I'll leave y'all alone for a while.
  
  1. The keeper deadline is 7/31, rosters will lock after that until the draft so you have to finalize all your cuts before then or they will cost against the cap.
  
  2. Along the same lines, trade season is open until 7/31! If you're so inclined it's always helpful to follow Sand Snakes's lead and update those blocks.
  
  3. The deadline to renew your team (aka pay up) is 8/1. Looks like this applies to just about everyone as of now, make sure you do this or your squad will become available for anyone to claim.
  
  4. Not sure how people feel about the whole division structure, but I'm inclined to move us to a more traditional fantasy football format with one big division. If anyone has any objections please voice them and we can either hold off on change altogether or discuss alternatives, like moving to 2 divisions or giving our existing ones another shuffle. If there are no objections, I'll make the move at the end of the month.

• Well I feel like a jerk, but Gus had already expressed interest in the team, just hadn't gotten around to claiming it. In a bit of a tyrant move I've booted our new arrival and handed the reins to our 2nd Spy Ponder. At least Jim's ass-kissing attempt has failed.

• Hello Managers..I grabbed The Eli team hope Im more welcomed than he seemed to be lol..Been in Fantasy sports since Im pretty sure all the way back to the beginning and downloading stats from the Usa Today lol..Been on OTT for about 6 years..played as many as 10 leagues a year to now just this and another Nfl..2 Mlb and 1 Nba..Im OCD so you will never have to worry about lineups or deadlines with me..Looking forward to a Fun season..Thank you ??

• Hey y'all, just FYI I'll be taking over as commish. Unfortunately on this President's Day we say farewell to one of our own founding fathers, but I'd like to thank Barry for his work keeping this league together when our erstwhile commissioner went MIA, and always putting together a competitive team and making things more fun for everyone.
  
  First order of business is filling his spot - if anyone has any recommendations please chime in. Worst case hopefully it will get claimed as it's in pretty good shape with a few particularly attractive pieces, but it's always fun to get more friends involved.
  
  Second order of business is arbitration, if you haven't noticed it has begun. We've got over a month until the deadline so no rush, but please make sure you do it as it helps maintain our competitive balance! Expect to be pestered as 3/31 approaches if you haven't completed it.

• I'm all for a new rule next year to prevent prospect hoarding and maintain roster limits throughout the season for all teams. We just need to discuss it again before next season's draft.

• I discussed this with a few members of the league who ran up to 35ish roster spots last year (including Puddle and JJ Sabin) and we all agreed to reduce it this year.
  
  I did not advertise it broadly and that is my fault, so this is the final year of this and next year we will have a limit of 30 to stop prospect hoarding.

  We discussed last year that max roster will be 30 and not allowed to hold so many over that amount with bids anymore.
  
  So when the season ends on Jan 4, I expect rosters to be down to a max of 30, or I will random list generate your cheapest players and cut from the top of that list to whatever amount is needed to hit that threshold
