Oscar Colas, CWS (24): A free-swinger, Colas seems the obvious favorite to win the right field battle in Chicago. He’s the best defensive option among those with some offensive capability. While aggression is expected to hold him back, such hitters can sometimes ride an early hot streak until opposing scouts discover their weaknesses. He’s batting .283/.298/.500 with three home runs in 47 plate appearances.

Grissom wow

I'm pretty happy I kept Turner , even at 62$. Some people had a lot if cash, so you never know what can happen at draft

Stop your assinine math answers when you didn't watch the fucking games
-
Also Cubs swept Mets in NY late in September knocking them.out of division champs
-
The Cubs wrapped up a good second half of 2022 (39-31) with a strong 16-6 finish capped off by a blowout win over the Reds Wednesday. What does it mean for 2023?Oct 6, 2022

John Hook got my last box of beer

I'm done batting with Pat, postage is way up
-
Btw, during their “great” last 2 months of the seasons, the Cubs hit .227/.306/.365, a wRV+ of 91. For the whole season they hit .238/.311/.387, wRC+ 98.

I agree, Fred shouldn’t take these bets, but he seems pretty convinced he’s got a better line.

Nice sucker bets you've offered there (current line Cubs 76.5 wins, Sox 83.5).
-
I’ll grant their defense is (much) better than their offense (even if Dansby doesn’t repeat his outlier defensive season), and the less said about the collection of #5 starters that make up their rotation, the better. I like to line up my fall beers early: I’m happy to take the under on both 80 wins for. The Cubs and 90 wins for the White Sox.

Being objective, I'm the flip of that . Cubs won 74 and had a great last two months. They have deep young pitching , and gg level fielding at SS lf, cf, and 2b. They may surprise you, but I have them a solid 80-82 wins. SF is on decline, may be more 76-78 win team imo
-
I buy the Giants as a .500 team but that seems pretty optimistic for your local teams Fred. Maybe you forgot about the new schedule this year?

Doval at 14$ looks like a nice choice by Bat , although SF, like my Cubs , are 80 win team. I have Mets at 98 and Chi Sox at 90

first liam hendricks with cancer and now diaz out for the season tough way to start a season for my RP

Diaz has already been cut in another league I'm.in
-
Just reading about that injury makes my knees hurt. Looks like it’s more common in the NBA—don’t jump and down if you can help it—and can be hard to fully come back from.

Diaz has such a flairr and excitement
-
Bad for the sport : New York Mets closer Edwin Díaz tore the patellar tendon in his right knee during the celebration after Puerto Rico’s WBC victory against the Dominican Republic. He will need surgery and is expected to miss the season.

I am remembering Kendrys Morales walk off grand slam celebration injury

Edwin Diaz injured celebrating with his team after the win. Had to be pushed off the field in a wheelchair. Feared its an acl injury. Great way to start the season losing my best RP.

I was watching the Nats game yesterday (because the Mets broadcast can make even a crappy spring training game enjoyable) and it just didn’t seem possible that Cavalli’s final pitch—a change-up—would be the last straw for his elbow. I hope it wasn’t though it seems like everyone needs TJS at some point.

I made a mistake when formulating a counter offer on that trade with Hitch. We've already talked about it and both agree to cancel the trade.

im fairly sure you will toggle and right the ship and be top 4 in both of those leagues
-
I’ve been doing this so long I’ve forgotten anything I knew and I’m basically a rookie
-
- don’t invite a female companion to join you on draft night who’s waiting for you to finish already
- don’t forget that old JD is U only and makes him your FIFTH 1/3/U guy so you can never actually use him and now you have to trade Matt Olson
-
Well I’m 0-2 for successful auctions thus far. This one is my next one. I’ll be looking to break the losing streak by learning from my mistakes thus far:
- don’t throw “positions” or “needs” out the window and just get value, even if it means having the best 2 catchers in the game or 6 startable MIFers
- don’t get pissed at a really tardy drafter and determine to +1 them all night
- don’t accidentally +1 a RP over and over on my phone while rushing to the toilet
-
Zips is out too today

Probably the most pathetic franchise for spending money as well as drafting/player development
-
Just heard a stat that the Rockies for the first time in their existence , were under .400 slugging as a team in 2022
-
I am available if anyone needs me to draft for them.in another league
-
Wow. I got the sweet 3 - 3. Maybe I'll watch now.

I'm interested. OK with whatever you can get away with charging. :)

I’m putting together Super Bowl squares so I have a reason to watch the game. If you’re interested let me know how much you want to wager and I’ll figure out the per square cost once I see how much interest there is.

I have a feeling Jose Abreu has a 6.0 season left him this year for Astros
-
Hmm. I didn’t make that change to my trading block (at least not intentionally). But I wouldn’t actually mind Vaughn as long as he comes with a loan.
