The matter of how many save opportunities SF gets this year does come into question this year, however.
-
Well, since i paid $15 for him in last year's auction, it seems there are at least 2 of us believers. You're not going out too far on a limb here.

It takes just 2 guys to believe he is in elite tier , was great for me after I got him from you last summer
-
It depends upon where in draft and when nominated to some extent . Later on in draft, and people left with money , RP closer strikeout guys have gone into the 20s at draft
-
He's been going for about $10 in the mocks so far--but those are basically year-1 leagues, maybe that's $15 in our league.

BTW Doval was named fulltime closer for SF , and I still maintain he will go for 15$ + at draft
-
Might be the 2b/mi eligible and the fact that it appears a lot of higher contracts are being kept this year .
-
That's surprising. Well, not the Charles part. I couldn't even give him Mookie last year. I think he hates the guy.

And no, none were were from Charles
-
Yes,several and in two different leagues, as I have him in another at $53
-
You're getting pre-keeper deadline offers for a $56 Betts?
BatGPT on

I appreciate all the offers / inquiries on Betts, he's not for sale pre draft unless completely blown away by something .
-
I cut Stanton last year in order to have funds to bid on every SP out there to keep Henry short of innings . I did so knowing he wouldnt become a keeper in this draft nor any upgrade for Henry or Charles in last years run. He got hot at end of year but was mostly a 4.4 ppg player for me when not on IL.
-
Stanton is just such a shell of his former greatness. Always injured.

So I’m really not gonna be able to trade Stanton? Man I really don’t want to keep him but don’t think I can replace his projected production in the auction for $30. Somebody just take the damned Yankee off my hands for something close to even, please
-
That was funny
-
haha. nice.
(still a few [dozen] more pounds of fat to trip before we get there)
-
Oh yeah? Is he back down to swimming weight?
-
Brent trimmed off a lot of fat
-
We are getting to the point of the off season where those over budget get desperate to take anything, rp, prospect, etc that they can keep for their throwbacks .
-
“ Correa zero stolen bases last three years and only one attempt - that tells me something.
Correa afraid to slide.
Also only two triples last three years confirms my medical diagnosis.”
-
Trevor Story with elbow surgery, could miss all of the coming season.
-
The Twins must not be very ennamored with perennial prospect Royce Lewis
-
Really well liked in Chicago , looks like Graveman is next man up
-
Yeah, he's a good dude too.

Sad news for Liam Hendricks , but very curable these days
-
I'm a little surprised they don't self-insure.

Looks like the issue with Correa is that a team can't get insurance due to an pre existing condition.
-
Mikey, very few in this league proscribe to going out and grabbing a guy they love and believe in . too many mizers and value accountants that will never over pay
-
OF seems to be lot of our shortcomings, and no I did not offer on Greene. Would have nice for me if Grissom got OF eligible
-
I didn’t say insulting, just not what I would accept
-
You’re welcome, Mikey, for the absence of insulting offers originating from me
-
I think I've received more than a dozen trade offers for Greene over the last week. I'm really not planning on trading him and none of the offers have been anything I'd consider. Unless you have an offer that you think will absolutely blow me away, I just don't think it's worth it.
-
Uh, that goes for fantasy purposes too.

If he signs a one-year deal, his knees stay in the box.

Wouldn’t they be both fine and useless, until some random quantum event (like signing a contract) occurred?

He has Schrödinger knees. If no one looks at them, they're fine.

I just found out that his second last name is Oppenheimer. How does he not have some sort of variation of "atomic bomb" as a nickname??
Carlos Javier Correa Oppenheimer Jr.
-
Nobody wants to pay Correa after seeing he has termite-infested knees. Gotta drop his ottoneu market value, does it not? Think anything over 30 is probably reckless
-
Rp is the schizo position of baseball and to lesser extent Catcher
-
Inexpensive relievers
-
I have catches, Jansen and Perez I’d like trade for a reliever. Please make offers.
-
Most eventful off season i can remember in a long time, helps ward off boredom and seasonal depression
-
Trout is available in draft, will be between 65 or 70 at auction and one of very few impact players available
-
I did, but I am entertaining offers on him
-
So my plan to get you to cut him has already failed? I noticed you offered him to me the other day but withdrew the trade….

Bah, you were second in bidding for grissom so you must have been interested and now full of sour grapes
-
And I wouldn’t be surprised if Grissom is a starter this year—but for the Brewers (I want Adames in Atlanta) or some other team….

I’m not really too negative about Swanson (I do expect last year was his career year, but that’s just because of his age; I do think he’s improved as a player the last couple of years, and he’ll be fine), I just think it’s funny that it wasn’t long ago you were noting the Cubs had learned a lesson with Heyward.

Bat....Mr negativity , us old cub fand will never forget signing jeff blauser after his career year only to find he was sub mediocre
