This is where it gets good... In 2014... The year he had 4p/IP...The lowest team average for the entire season was 4.64... Do you realize how bad he was... In his best ever year? Say he improves 25%.. Moving to the AL... And is 5.0 this year... He's barely average for the teams finishing LAST... Maybe we'll be wrong... But I think Cobb and his one good arm was probably an over pay at this point... Jmho

The math is pretty simple... EV pitched 192/innings for 810pts la year.. Which most would agree his his high water mark... Very unlikely moving to AL is going to help that, but never know... Thats basically 4p/IP...

As for making offers in general... fuck it... we are all big boys... I have accepted offers, knowing a guy was hurt, and the other guy didnt pull it down in time... if they whine about it, I'd back off... but if you accept a deal, and turns out a player was hurt, or not playing, or demoted, etc... thats on whoeer takes the trade... not who offers it... this league is going to hell...

Typically all you need to do is click on a player's name and you'll find out if they are injured. Don't see why any offer with an injured player should be a big deal, especially in a league where you can hold them until they are healthy.

It takes maybe 30 seconds of internet research to determine if a player involved in an offer is hurt. It may be poor form, but both parties have a responsibility to do their due diligence.

Yes completely, Cobb was on the road back from injury and was an interesting buy low candidate. The fact that he won't throw an inning in 2015 and possibly not any in 2016 destroys his value. The fact that you wanted a cheaper and more productive pitcher for him at $15 is outlandish.
