If it makes you feel any better, I asked the same question in my other league last year, which was my 4th year in that league. Though that feature is still fairly new.
-
"Are they on your watchlist?" I love to challenge the idea that there are no stupid questions...yes, they are. Thanks, haha. Mystery solved.
-
Are they on your watchlist?
-
At least on my end, 2 of the players currently up for auction (Karinchak and Olson) have orange shading around their names on the list. Anyone know what that signifies?
-
Came here to say "Vladdy finally got it going, y'all are doomed!" but he was on my bench last night. So. Rock on. With Huira up, my infield situation is getting quite crowded-- slide into my trade offers if need be.

You can't search "all positions" this way, but you can do it for any of the single positions. It's not exactly what you're asking for, but it's fairly close. Just takes a tad bit more time.
-
Actually, looks like they have change% for 7 or 30 day periods.
-
You can just select a position and then search a blank bar. Just make sure you select "FAs only" and a position, then click search. Then I think you can sort by ownership change%, even though you can't necessarily do 7 or 14 days for that.
-
Honestly the biggest thing I feel like this format is missing is the ability to properly filter and find free-agents. It really needs one large FA list where you can sort by Own%, 14 day add%, 7 day add%, etc. Those type of features have always helped me jump on helium guys before others in the league might notice. As is, you have to search by something like "A" or "E" to return the a large number of free agents and then sort from there, and it's clunky to say the least.
-
lol have you seen my team I'm in no position to judge. In fact all my bargain bin guys have been good and anyone I actually spent money on has been Dan Struggla except Gallo
-
"So Matt Olson was originally auctioned for $30?" - Stop judging me, Ivan.
-
Correct. That first hour or two of auction drafting was wyld.
-
So Matt Olson was originally auctioned for $30?
-
Right, basically if someone cuts a player, they have to be re-auctioned at half their original salary. If you're interested in cutting down on cap penalties, you can cut someone, wait a month, auction them, and (if you win, which you probably will considering these aren't the most desirable players) cut them again to save half on the new salary. You can't get the penalty below $1 unless someone else puts that player on their roster.
-
Correct. You will be able to auction cut players at half their original salary. The system will tell you the minimum and force you to bid the most. For players you cut that you want to reset some salary, you can bid on those guys yourself after 30 days. If you win the bid (like I did with Heaney a few days ago), you can then cut them again and save half of their new salary.
-
Can I get a quick refresher on how the cut player bidding works? Like, if someone cuts a guy with a high draft salary, there's literally no way to restart his salary or lower it if I'm not the guy who cut him?
-
I'm going full Coppy. 2 Trades, Nimmo dropped, multiple players cut and added. If I hadn't been MIA for the first 2 weeks of the season I'd be alright. I didn't realize at the time how important checking/setting your lineups every single day was.

It is hard to win the season when every starting pitcher I put in pulls down his pants, drops a load on the mound, sets fire to it, and rolls around in it.
Seriously, I'm wondering if I will end the season with starting pitching having managed 3 points per inning. Is that even replacement level?

Kluber and Severino were supposed to be my bell cows... With both of them out and also having lost Stanton all this time my team's points have seriously reduced. I'm definitely in the market for some pitching help.
-
I’ll echo a search for pitching (both relievers and starters) as well as an outfielder. Looking to deal from my middle infield surplus so any of Seager, Torres, Lindor, Dozier.
-
I'm looking to trade for some SP. Would like to work something out around some combination of Cano, Marte, Myers, or Calhoun.

I’m still here. I have had major trouble being actually able to sign in. But now I think it’s working so I should be able to keep better track of my team.
-
I'm not sure it matters. His lineup still only has like 2 players not currently on a Major League roster on it and he sucks regardless.
-
Who did we lose?
-
I haven't seen mention of the fact that we've lost a player. Any thoughts on whether anything should be done about that or what should be done?

Yeah, I'm 4th/5th in K/BB ratio for pitchers and third in SV+H, but dead last in HR allowed and therefore P/IP by a longshot. HR/FB gods are cruel.
-
I feel ya. My pitchers gave up like 8 homers yesterday. It hurts. Guess you've had it a lot worse than that too.
-
Haha, I give up. My pitchers are running HR/FB rates like double their career rates.
-
Is it inappropriate to be happy about being ahead of Ivan for a single day?

With Lowrie, Hicks, and Andujar all in rehab or about to be, we may be a couple weeks away from having a full squad.
-
I vote that Fangraphs adds a "I'm not trading with you because you're probably smarter than me" button.
-
I feel ya. I need my pitchers to stop giving up HRs and I could start making a move for 1st. So many lost points. I'm hoping when my team gets healthy, I can make a run. So many points sitting on the IL
-
I think if I can get my position players to do a little better and take 1st in both pitching and hitting on a rate basis, it will be the perfect embodiment of my team name. We look formidable but don't actually do anything. Seriously, I'm 4th and 1st in those categories, and 8th overall.

Yeah, I don't even worry about daily stats anymore. I mean since it's points there was no real reason to worry as it is, but the combination of "chose to start a starter," "had relievers come up in save/hold situation," and "no dingers allowed" seems to drive a lot of the scoring. Which is mostly fine, it was just a bit of a rude awakening to me over the last few weeks.
-
I love seeing the ebb and flow of the leaderboard; seems like whoever's starting pitching rotation is active that day swings up the board then ticks down until the next turn through the rotation.
-
And you're still projected under the 1500 IP limit, so that means you've (theoretically) got plenty of room to keep racking up pitching points. But yeah, I like that everything is close. For comparison, I'm in 7th place in my other league, despite only having 100 fewer points than I have here. 1st place is at 3100 already. However, they used to do Ottoneu league power rankings on Rotographs in the past, and that other league was the "best" league across the format a couple years ago.
-
And I gained 230 points on the leader in the last 7 days, so 200 is within striking distance. It still feels like it's entirely possible for almost anyone to win.
-
I enjoy how competitive this league is. We have 8 people out of 12 within 200 points of the lead, for example (not implying the other 4 are doing badly). Other leagues I've played in had about 25 percent of people who kind of knew what they were doing, so there was barely a competition.
