• Arbitration has started. Here are the rules:
  
  Arbitration starts on February 15 and lasts until March 15.
  Arbitration allows teams to add dollars to players on other teams in their league.
  Every team has a $60 allocation budget to utilize as they see fit.
  Every team must give every other team in their league at least $1 and no more than $8 in additional salary.
  No player can be allocated more than $4 of additional salary by another team ($44 league max).

• I got this response from Niv about the scores problems:
  
  I apologize about the delay in getting football scoring, especially for Thursday games and early starts. We are working out the kinks on our end and this year has been, I think, noticeably worse than last year, which is not the direction I want things to go.
  
  Without going into a bunch of details, the basic problem is that we’ve only been pulling football data for a couple of years, which is a huge difference from FanGraphs’s experience with baseball data. The baseball processes are automated, and the football processes still have some manual intervention required every week and every day. After this past weekend, in which the delay was exacerbated by the holiday, we have a focused determination to automate football data so that it doesn’t require one or two of us to be online to make sure everything is working.
  
  Again, I don’t mean this as an excuse or deflecting blame - there are a lot of technical problems to running these games and only a couple of people who can even address them. As a result, we need to focus our priorities appropriately, and we have not done a great job with prioritizing football data loading. This is being addressed this week.
  
  Please keep holding me accountable! While I enjoy the pie-in-the-sky ideas that might improve certain aspects of Ottoneu, if there are specific issues that exist that cause users to not engage, those should always be raised and prioritized.

• Never mind. Keenum is owned by some crazy Patriots fan. You're down to Cleveland's starter DeShone Kizer, who may or may not run backward to avoid being tackled. You're screwed.

• Black Swans - sorry that happened to you. Hard to say what causes it, but I'll pass it along to the ottoneu help email. The only suggestion I have is to make a rule to always check your lineup after you have dropped or added a player. I sometimes catch lineup problems on this site after a transaction. I got in the habit of always checking my lineup after dealing with that on the ESPN site, where any time I change my roster the site blows up my lineup.

• Not sure it would make a difference since everyone on my team was terrible this week (only my kicker is in double digits so far), but is anyone else noticing a possible glitch where their lineup was changed prior to kickoff? I ended up starting both DJ and OBJ even though I've had them both on the bench for a while now. I've noticed that the system seems to reset the lineups each week, but I'm 95% sure I did change my lineup this week.
