  I'm posting the answer here in case others are wondering. My understanding is those designations are hold-overs from the end of last year and won't be updated until the NFL starts reporting officially again before week 1. That's how it is working on other sites also.

I know that most of them will renew, but we might need to put one or two teams back on open status and get new owners. If anyone has a proposed new owner, let me know.

• In the past we have made optional contributions to a winners' pool with LeagueSafe, and there seems to be no objection to doing it that way again this year. Unless anyone objects, I will set it up again the same way as before: $20 contribution, 3 winners, 60/30/10 splits.

• Saturday afternoons are basically impossible for me. If it's a weekend, would an evening be possible?--like after 8pm eastern? Weekday afternoons would also work for me. No strong opinions on the winner's pool--the way we've done it the last few years has worked well, I think.

  When you post about the draft, please also describe your preference for how we set up the winners' pool. Last year we did it on an optional basis with payments into a LeagueSafe account. Most people contributed, and I think it worked out just fine. Suggest an amount.

• Arbitration starts 2/15. Here are the rules:
  
  Arbitration starts on February 15 and lasts until March 1
  Arbitration allows teams to add dollars to players on other teams in their league
  Every team has a $60 allocation budget to utilize as they see fit
  Every team must give every other team in their league at least $1 and no more than $8 in additional salary
  No player can be allocated more than $4 of additional salary by another team ($44 league max)

• Now that we are entering the final playoff week, here is an update on possibly payouts for winners. The following teams contributed: The Same Ole Sorry Ass LA Rams, ClevelandSucks, The Bacon and the Sparrows, Gary Barnidge, Black Swans, Destiny's Beaver (paid twice), and Gently's Agency. Each contribution was $20, though Destiny's Beaver will start with a payout of $20 due to the double payment. That leaves the total winners' pot at $140. We will have 3 winners, with a 60/30/10 split. The winner of the championship game will get $84, the loser of the championship game will get $42, and the winner of the consolation game will get $14. Let me know if you see any mistakes here.
