• If you have a strong objection to the following plan, please say so: we keep LFL's roster intact and his starting lineup set as it is now, and we let it ride from there. That roster is very good, and so playing LFL won't be an easy win. Actually, he might end up with a winning record barring serious injuries or bad luck in bye weeks. This way, the weeks when someone plays LFL remain interesting, and this minimizes the advantage to playing LFL twice. Keeping LFL competitive leaves us with a good chance of finding a replacement owner, even during the season.

• I don't have an issue with side betting simply because its just a little extra $$$ wagered between friends/colleagues. However, next season here and over in baseball, I believe we should get rid of the LeagueSafe and do a prize league in which the top 3 are guaranteed $$$.

• I'd agree to that in principle, but there are a few teams who play LFL twice, and so would get an extra free W.

• I'd say if nobody claims the team by Thursday, freeze the roster and leave the team dormant until next season, and whoever is on the schedule to play that team gets a W for the week.

• If by clear the roster you mean release all the team's players, I'm thinking that may not be the best idea--it might discourage someone from taking over that team in the future, making it harder to eventually find a new owner. Or have I misunderstood?

• I must admit to being pleased that we need a new owner for Life in the Fastlane. If anybody has an idea, let me know. If we don't get a replacement, I can clear that roster and it would turn into a bye (auto-win) for each opponent. Or, we could agree not to count those wins at the end of the season.

• it's simply extra prize money, fast lane. I encourage anyone who thinks they can win it to put $20 in the pot at leaguesafe. I did. the commish posted a link way down the message board. i like extra prize money. and how anyone would play differently is beyond me?

• LFL, I don't think anyone plays different in the league depending on the side pool. Everyone is trying to win anyway. I don't think we even know who entered it (or maybe that's just me).

• are you kidding? nothing like last minute finding out. i don't think its right to have a league with side rules, i joined without knowing this and would not have played if I would have known. and optionally does not cut it, that means the teams that aren't in the side pool can affect the teams that are with trades etc.

• I think we are at full participation now. As we have a few new owners, here is a reminder of our structure. Aside from the annual ottoneu dues (which are $20), we optionally contribute another $20 into a LeagueSafe account to form the winnings pot. • Peterson and Luck are both reassigned to Shooting Ropes, and no longer on the waiver wire. On the bright side, we are almost back to full strength in terms of ownership and a fully active league. My last problem-team is Lomu, and he is on the baseball side so I'm hopeful.

• i just took the team, i wasn't over any cap, and i would like to make drops penalty free. and the team did not have to be viable, the new owner should have the chance to make the drops he wanted.

• Our rule has been (and still is) that when someone takes over a team we give them a brief period when they can have players removed without the 50% salary penalty. If you want any players removed right now, so you can free up enough $ to bid on AP in the auction, just let me know.

• Welcome. Yes, we have 2 teams dormant right now - Shooting Ropes and Lomu. I'm working on Lomu. As for your team, Shooting Ropes, you may want all those players but your $400 cap is reached. AP and Luck had to be removed to make that team viable. The team is still strong, and so if you want to participate, please do.
