  One clear out for draft date for me is Monday, Sept. 4 - have a wedding.

• MicroFootball 17 is online! Teams have been relegated to divisions by last season’s record (ties broken by points total).
  
  Note well: Eric’s and Travis’s records were not recorded properly, their records were transposed on one another as a side effect of the fix to a scoring snafu which occurred at the end of the regular season (perhaps as a result of the heart-attack game, I can’t remember exactly what happened, but I’m sure there is discussion archived somewhere on the Community site). If you look at the records now, Eric beat Travis; but clearly Travis beat Eric as he was in the playoffs and Eric was not. Anyway I’m certain that their scores are flip-flopped and that the new relegation has captured the truth- everyone is where they belong.
  
  If anyone has any great ideas for new division names, pass em along and I’ll consider it.
  
  Let me know ASAP if you have any hard-outs on draft times around the end of August.

  The update is that the renewal-system is still down.
  
  For now:
  The RENEWAL deadline has been delayed to August 15th.
  The CUT deadline remains the same: July 31 end of day.

  The PayPal link (for renewal) does not seem to be working for anyone at the moment. If you go to renew your team, and you find an error when you click the PayPal link, know that this is a temporary system-wide issue. Will pass along an update when I have one.

• -Well, that's a wrap for 2022... 16 years of really tiny football...
  -Amazingly, the winner is the team with the fewest points. Fantasy football, folks! The ultimate bad beat story... pun intended in all the ways.
  -Regardless, congratulations to the new guy... whose bark was indeed worse than his bite. I guess we can't say we weren't warned!
  -Arbitration starts on February 15th and runs 1.5 months until the end of March. Do not wait until the last minute to do it. You can always change your allocations anytime during the arbitration window. Ask if you're [still] unsure how it works.
  -I was considering expanding the playoff pool from 4 to 6, but given that clearly everybody had a chance, I'm not sure this is necessary. I'm also not thrilled with the idea of 1/2 the teams making the playoffs... but, if it's wanted by the majority then I'll change it... but I still don't like it!
  -Relegation for Microfootball XVII (2023) will be sorted first by 2022 record and then by points.
  -Payout is handled by Ottoneu, look out for that in your email/paypal account sometime this week.
  -It was a really good season despite the bizarre finale. We had an active/competitive waiver wire, a bunch of trades, tons of NCAA speculation, several playoff spots up for grabs with complex conditions, and a crazy ending. Travis and Luke finally made some money, well deserved, and the two best teams got taken to the cleaners. Objectively speaking, it's one for the books!

• Thanks everyone for your patience through what was a relatively bumpy draft. I decided after my opening salvo of draft-rules that the best course of action was to force nominations by pausing at 1-sec rather than let it pass. Clearly if it was taking that long to nominate, there was an issue. The draft software is the weak link in the ottoneu chain, but it's worth it to do this format, and it's clearly manageable. I hope we all agree that this was handled fairly.
