• I am not opposed to moving it back a little, but people get sleepy and cranky when I make it too late! Maybe we say 8:15/30 if there is demand for that... these drafts are usually about 90-120 mins tops.

• I haven’t heard any problems with Tue 8/27 @ 8pm. Does anyone have a problem with this time? Draft is always right around Labor Day, always a busy time both before and after. I prefer to do it before the holiday, and assumed that was the general sentiment, but please do say if I’m wrong. Polls are never fully responded to so I’m not bothering, we can work it out here.

• Yep, same. It asked for confirmation (requested/sent code to mobile phone), then took me through the (credit card) payment steps. After completing, it brought me back to the start (versus confirming transaction went through). I verified that no transaction went through on cc (yet). That’s where I’m at.

• When I went in the first time, I had a similar experience. It seemed to just want to confirm my device, no payment was ever authorized. I went in again and paid (with a credit card). Let me know where you’re at.

• All set, arbitration is over (and fully implemented)! Barkley & Purdy, please double-check the increases and let me know if there's any issue. I made one mistake in the process and adjusted it immediately (I put $3 on Prescott, but it was meant to be $1, so final salary should be $40), otherwise I did not detect any errors in my data entry.

  URGENT reminder: Arbitration is due Sunday night at 11:59 EDT (Mar 31).
  It is really important to league balance for you to complete this... it's in your best interest, it's in our best interest, and it's fun! If I were you, I would squeeze this in before the weekend, get it out of the way. You can change your allocations as many times as you want up until the deadline.
  Remember, you must use ALL of your arbitration money for any of it to be counted. (Rules are available in the Rules tab.) Let me know if you have questions.

  I'm in another league that just started up this year. We had our inaugural draft last night, and obviously one manager just didn't show. The draft went on anyway, and afterwards that team was given 13 players at $1 so they can field a roster every week. It's a crummy roster to start, but wanted to know if anyone here wanted to join an additional league?

• Well, I agree with you on point #1, but not on point #2. This argument is academic, and I won't elaborate on it much, but simply put there are so many obvious differences between a fantasy game and the actual sport/league that I think it is a meritless fool's errand to try and "emulate" the actual game. I think the goal of fantasy games is to make a good fantasy game, not to emulate the real thing. Where those endeavors intersect, all the better, but let's be "real" about fantasy!
  
  And in service of that end, I do think that point #1 is valid, relevant, and actionable. There is no argument against injecting a little extra potential parity, and the suggestion provided gets us there cleanly and clearly. The division structure was arbitrarily devised, it is just one of many possible systems, and while there is some method behind it, it does not accomplish the goal of adding parity... which is a straight-forward and reasonable ask.
  
  Barring any serious objection within the next few days, I will implement the proposed change.

• Hey Everyone,
  I would like to propose a change to the way the three divisions are formed every year.
  Currently, we are split into 3 divisions based solely on our W/L record from last year. I propose that we change that to: All 4 playoff teams from the previous year put into Division, and the rest of the teams then being sorted again by W/L record.
  Reasons for proposing the change:
  1) The new alignment guarantees that - at a maximum - there are 2 returning playoff teams (winner of division 1 and possible wild card team), ensuring that there are at least 2 new teams in the playoffs each year. I guess we can call this "parity" which the NFL strives for. In the end, aren't we supposed to be mirroring the NFL as closely as possible?
  2) Strength of schedule: IRL NFL determines a team's strength of schedule by where they finished in their division the previous year. It does note matter if a team wins their division with a 8-9 record, that team is given a harder schedule the following year. The closest way we can mirror that in our league is to put the 4 playoff teams in the same division, ensuring that they play each other twice the following year. On the flip side of that coin, the teams at the bottom get to play each other twice a year.
  I'm interested to know what you guys think.
