• You need to send your cut list to the commissioner since you picked up the team after the cut deadline. And I think Doodle sounds like a great idea.

• Hey everybody. One of the new guys here. Since it's really hard to get people together for meeting in my line of work, I use a service called Doodle where everyone I need there can check off a bunch of available meeting time options so we can see where everybody or nearly everybody can make it work. I set up a quick one for our draft, offering an afternoon and evening slot for weekend days and an evening slot for weekdays for every day between Sunday 8/25 and Tuesday 9/3 (except for Wednesday 8/28). If our league commissioners want to try settling on a time this way, I'll share the link in another message. I'm fairly certain that you don't even need a free registration to vote on options to use Doodle. We can adjust times, time zone and dates before we circulate if anyone has other ideas how to set up options. If no one wants to use this method, that's totally cool. Just thought I'd offer. Sorry for the long message.

• By my count, we have four open spots (just need to mark Playing for 2019 as abandoned). I will go either way on the side pot (we used a third party service last year, Terp). I am also really against rebooting the league, as it runs contrary to the spirit of Otto being a dynasty platform. It's four spots, we can totally do this. Ask your friends.

• I’m up for an additional buy-in, especially if the league is rebooted so I have full control over my own roster. I’d just like to know how the payouts would work? No offense to anyone but I hesitate to send a stranger $50 and trust a champion gets paid.

• So how many do we actually have returning? And which teams are open? I can try to recruit some people. Although, if we're losing about half the league, the idea of a reboot with a new startup is somewhat intriguing. As for the $50, what we do in one of my other leagues is make the additional buy-in optional, but obviously only those who do buy in are eligible for payouts.

• Welcome Terps. I hope you stick with us. For my $0.02 I would fine if we didn’t do the additional $50 buy in. I get that it keeps folks a little more motivated to stick with your team but I am in this so I don’t really need the incentive. I like this format I am definitely in for the long term. Thanks all.

• Does anyone have any insight as to why it is so tough to hold the football leagues together? This is two years in a row for me, with two different groups, where at least half the league bailed. Football is inarguably easier to play (and understand) than baseball, yet I don't see the turnover in my baseball league. Maybe my experience is a small sample size, but it's frustrating to play for the now and the future only to have the future of the league jeopardized by people bailing. Half venting, half observing/curious. Also, I do appreciate people that have made it known that they're out. Knowing what spots to fill is half the battle to filling them.
