• Reminder to all, draft is just a couple of hours away. I've been in some basketball drafts already, and each were a technical challenge. Several glitches and delays. So please be patient, because we'll likely encounter similar difficulties tonight. If that occurs, I'll pause the proceedings and get help. The best thing we can all do to make it better for everyone else is to be prepared. Have your watchlist populated, be aware of when your turn is approaching, and nominate quickly. For anyone that might be experiencing their first ottoneu draft, please familiarize yourself beforehand with the mechanics of nominating and bidding. Good luck to everyone!!

• Your interpretation is correct. You need to have a minimum of $1 of free cap per each open roster spot. You can have more, just never less.

• Teams must either have 25 rostered players or enough available cap space to roster 25 players. A team's roster can consist of a mix of NBA, G-League, NCAA D1 and other prominent players. The player universe currently consists of all NBA, G-League, and NCAA D1 players. If a team has more than 25 rostered players, more than $400 in salary, or not enough cap space to roster 25 players, the team will be locked out of normal activities until a player is cut or moved off the team via trade.

• Down below someone mentioned that they need a full roster. I just want to make sure that I am not misinterpreting the rules... we do not need to leave the draft with a full roster, but need to have enough cap space to fill our rosters. It seems very clear to me.

• Yeahhh I think I'll be able to make it work on the phone. The worst part is that I'll be at a dinner with work colleagues and bosses when the draft starts. That'll make it more difficult.

• In the last month or so I have noticed the site response times have dramatically improved from when I click on something until when the screen loads. The lag made setting lineups painful last year.

• For what it’s worth I’ve done a few of the drafts on this platform on my cell phone. In fact, I think I’ve done all the drafts on my cell phone and it’s not too cumbersome.

• Hate to be a pain, but that date is really difficult for me. I'm going to be in Chicago for work the 11-14th. Is there anyway we can at least move the start time back to 9pm EST? That would be 8PM for me in Chicago which might make it a bit easier. I'm most likely going to have to draft on my phone which may also present challenges...Of course I need a full roster too.

• No date worked for everyone. Sorry to see that, but that's what we have to work with. Auction will be Wednesday the 11th at 8pm eastern. Hopefully everyone can be there. • All rosters are now legal, as all cuts have been made. Thanks guys! So the draft pool is complete and preparation can begin. 10 of 12 owners have responded to the poll. We'll keep that open overnight, and sometime Friday morning we will make the decision and announce the time. Right now there does not appear to be a time convenient for everyone. I'll make what I judge to be the most practical choice, and hope that those affected will have sufficient time to adjust plans, or arrange a proxy for auction night.

• I didn't notice the arrow at the top of the poll, so heads up guys there are a lot of dates listed. I believe I voted for everything except Saturdays. Saturdays during the CFB season are hit or miss for me.

• Here is the link for the poll to choose a start time for the draft. Second year basketball drafts for me last year went about 2 hours long. Please go ahead and select the times you have available. I know many of us are in multiple leagues so these dates fill fast. Hopefully we all respond quickly, and there is an obvious common time that suits each of us. But that rarely happens. So please respond quickly. I'll choose the date and hopefully that allows time for a couple of people to alter plans, or find a proxy to run the auction on their behalf. • Yeah, I grabbed a team and just went through that in another league. Commish dropped who I listed and then had to remove the cap penalties that resulted, but all good now. Seems like the setting to let the manager do it isn't working properly. He might've needed Niv to fix the penalties.

• Yeah it wont let us cut anyone on our own. We might have to give a list to the commish and he may have to manually make the cuts for us in the commish tools.

• Hey folks. Found this team on the claims page. This will be my first fantasy basketball experience, though I'm familiar with the platform because of ottoneu baseball. • I know a lot of people (including me) were bucking the new payment method because of it requiring our SSN's for signing up. Here's the latest from Niv......
  "This week, our new payment provider is releasing a change that removes KYC checks for all payments on their platform. This means that Paydala and its underlying bank will not require SSN or home address when taking payments for your Ottoneu teams."

• There's no link to pay because Ottoneu is transitioning to a service other PayPal for payments. 9 of 12 teams have been active within the last few days, but it's difficult to give a definitive answer on that until after midnight tonight. Any rosters not in a legal state after tonight will be assumed to be abandoned, and new owners will be sought out.

• Looks like the keeper deadline is September 15, 2023 11:59 PM EDT. It looks like you will keep anyone still on your roster at that time. Anyone that you don't wish to keep needs to be cut before then.

• Below are comments from Niv on changes being made to the game for next season. Arbitration begins on May 1st. thanks to all!!
  
  For next season, I have a few changes in store that should make setting lineups and the entire playoffs experience a bit more enjoyable.
  
  Lineups
  Next season, you should expect to see no daily caps, i.e. the daily limitation of 3 G, 2 F, 1 C, 1 G/F, 1 F/C, 2 Util in your lineup. The weekly caps will remain in place. Additionally, I plan on making the system not count players against the game cap if there are marked as “Out” by our data provider (related wishlist request 1). This will refund games against the game cap faster than waiting for a game to go final and confirm the player played 0 minutes.
  
  I believe these two changes will make it easier to not leave games on the table in a given week. Teams will be allowed to play as many players as the weekly cap allows on a given day, so ‘catching up’ on missed games will be easier and the whims of the NBA schedule will have less of an effect on blocking a team from playing players at a given position. Not counting players that are deemed “Out” against the weekly caps will make it easier to replace those late-breaking “will they or won’t they play” GTD players.
  
  Schedule
  We tried a 22-week fully balanced regular season for 2 years now, and the pain of having the semifinals and finals come during the height of players being rested for the playoffs is at this point abundantly clear. In 2023-24, we’ll be moving to an unbalanced 20-week regular season. The regular season will end in March rather than April. Once the NBA schedule for 2023-24 is released this summer, I’ll have more details on specific dates for the fantasy season.

• In addition to having roster spots, you must have a minimum of $1 available for each open roster spot. for example if you have 4 open spots, you must also have a minimum of $4 free as well. If you ever have fewer dollars than spots, then you must cut players until you free up the necessary cash.
