• I think the best thing is for the owners to vote on the trade as they see fit. That's the mechanism built in to deal with something like this. Consider the values and the injury. If you think the injury makes this trade anticompetitive--in other words, if the trade is counter to the interests of all of us, as a league--vote to veto. If not let it stand. (I think it runs out around 4 pm today.) I'm not stressed either way. Thanks all.

• Here is how this will be handled once and once only. If Balking Dead will agree to undo the trade, then it will be undone ONLY if he agrees. He does not have to and if he refuses that is his right. No one here is close enough to any team to burn people on inside information. Owners will be required to do their own due diligence and not look to the league office for resolution.

• I don't think anyone knew that Stanton was injured until it was reported shortly after noon today that he was headed to the DL (he played the entire game yesterday after hurting himself on a swing at some point during the game). The trade was accepted yesterday at 4:03pm Eastern and the first pitch of the game didn't occur until 4:22pm, so Stanton wasn't hurt when The Balking Dead traded him. Not fair to call him dishonest, IMHO.

• Thanks everyone for making the auction work. The only exception was myself, sitting in traffic on 95 like a dipshit. Fortunately, there were A LOT of good players left for $1 that everyone missed. Don't worry - I got all the players I wanted. No, I won't accept Mike Trout for Austin Hedges, straight up. Anyway, looking forward to an interesting season with you all. As always, I encourage lots of trading. We will rarely negate a trade unless it appears to be in bad faith, or gross imbalance.
