I can post ... do we know if the teams are paid for 2020? It's Hobo Jungle, Ender's Game, and VORP Speed, right?
-
I'm in for next season! I vote for posting on the Ottoneu Slack, so that we can try to fill the league by mid-January.
-
Bummer. Should we post the teams on the Ottoneu Slack #owners-wanted channel, or do people have friends they want to fill spots with? I think getting owners by mid Jan would be ideal so they can make cuts ahead of the Jan 31 keeper deadline, though I think new owners are allowed a round of cuts anyways if someone joins after Jan 31 / before auction draft.
-
Enders Game just told me he’s out, so looks like we need to fill 3 spots
-
I’m in for the next season.
-
I'm not returning to this league, please find a new owner or delete my team . Thanks
-
thanks CJ! Looking forward to defending my crown... and check your trade blocks y'all!
-
I’d be happy to continue playing!!

Believe it or not I'm still paying attention. It's been an incredibly busy Fall and so I haven't checked in, but I have been reading messages. I can continue with duties as long as there are people who would like to continue playing.

I'd like to go ahead and abandon VORP Speed so that a replacement owner can claim it. However, I don't want to leave the league without an active commissioner and CJ hasn't been online since August. Is there anyone who wants to be a commissioner?
-
I need to scale back my fantasy baseball, so I'm going to bow out as well. Thanks for the past two years and best of luck to everyone going forward.
-
I'm out, thanks for a fun season
-
I'm definitely in for at least another year! Had a great time this season
-
hey guys,
Just want to check in regarding everyone’s status for next year. Is anyone planning on leaving the league? If so, might be good to let everyone know sooner rather than later. Last year we were scrambling a bit to fill the league, and it would probably be better for any new owners to have the full offseason to make trades, add/drop, set keepers, etc.. Would love to hear the commissioners’ thoughts on this. Hope everyone enjoyed the playoffs!
-
Yeah that makes sense. 2 weeks gives you a bigger sample, but that last week of the season is sooo wacky. Thanks and best of luck to the first-round competitors!
-
No, all rounds of the playoffs are one week each (so we won't have matches in the last week of the MLB regular season). That was the decision that we had made back in January, but we can revisit it for next year if people would prefer a 2 week matchup for the championship (personally I'm agnostic). I think that the concern was that player usage patterns diverge from the norm in the last week of the season as teams that have secured a playoff spot rest their SP and other starters.
-
The first two rounds of the playoffs are one week each and then the championship round is two weeks, is that right?
-
We're back to what we had during the regular season this year: you can start up to 5 SP each day, up to a max of 10 GS in a week.
-
From the sidelines, subbing in Thor sounds super reasonable given the unexpected difference with the regular season. Going forward will we only have 2 SP spots/day (like last year) or are we back to this season's norm (5 sp spots)?
-
Seems like he's really on top of his stuff. Thanks for being so helpful with this -- I really appreciate it! Good luck the rest of the week
-
Here's Niv's response: "I've made these changes for you. Thor's game points should start counting in the next 20 minutes or so. Don't hesitate to reach out if you have any other questions."
-
Oh wow, thanks man. You didn't have to do that -- I would have been fine to just ride it out. I could have just checked the rules more carefully and it wouldn't have been an issue. I'm obviously fine with either of those options, but if neither seem possible it's really no stress. Thanks!
-
I just emailed Niv and asked if he could either change it retroactively for the league (i.e., 10 GS per week for the duration of the playoffs) or retroactively let you sub in Thor for one of your SPs who didn't start today (Mikolas or Samardzijia).
-
I thought that it was set to be the same all year, but apparently it's set to revert to last year's setup where you can only start 2 SP per day. These were settings set back in January. Anyway, let me know if you want me to bench Buehler tonight (we're facing each other and he's my best SP) to even the score (although he probably won't throw as good a game as Thor did earlier today). I can also reach out to Niv to see if there's something that can be done in terms of retroactive SP choice.
-
Does the SP format from the regular season change during the playoffs? All of a sudden I can only put 2 SPs on any given day. Lost Syndergaard's start because he happened to be placed 3rd from the top in my lineup. Maybe I misunderstood how the rule works
-
A man of integrity! Much appreciated
-
To all concerned ..I will not be returning next season. But I will not trade away my best players . Period
-
If I win another one after this, as Lou Brown once said "they call that a winning streak."
-
Let this be a lesson to us all. You too can achieve your dreams.

you may never lose again!

The ice has been broken!

@VORP thanks!
@Clueless Yes it's a general ottoneu slack, not specific to our league or anything
-
Is this a general Otto Neu Slack?

Just post to this thread asking to have your account reactivated. https://community.ottoneu.com/t/ottoneu-on-slack-update/5774

I just tried to sign in to the Ottoneu slack but got an "account deactivated" message that said to contact a Workspace admin. Anyone know who that is/what I'm supposed to do?

I made a series of stupid choices for that League including trading Kyle Hendricks for Max Scherzer who was more expensive then dealing Scherzer and holding on to Thor. I also kept Sean Newcomb
-
Haha so does my nl-only rotisserie team

I want 2018 Kyle Freeland back.

Sound like I don't have to worry about it. Thanks, guys. I'm just going to get tickets tonight.
-
Giants fans far are nicer to Dodger fans at Pac Bell than Dodger fans are to Giants fans at Dodger Stadium. So if your expectation is that you'll be harassed, I think that you'll be pleasantly surprised.
-
I've been to a dozen or more games at Oracle/Pac Bell/AT&T/whatever. I would not be worried about fans, it is a relatively milquetoast crowd in general. There's not as much of a rowdy tailgate atmosphere either since so many people come in via transit. If you are Dodgers fans and uncomfortable with ribbing, just don't wear the blue. As for seats...they check tickets, so you can't sneak down to the lower level like you can sometimes in Oakland or Baltimore. Good sightlines, I like the out
-
Has anyone attended an infamous game of Giants vs Dodgers? My wife and I are going to San Francisco at the begging of June and probably watch the game in the stadium. I'm a bit worried that she gets scared of ranting fans, and also, of course, I want to get good seating to have a better view. Could anyone give us any advice?
