Oh ok thanks. So it's a way to try to get some money back. Makes more sense now
-
When you cut a player you take a 50% penalty rounded up. If that player is claimed on waivers or added by another team, you get that money back. However, you can (after 30 days) start a new auction for that player and then immediately cut him again. For example, you cut a $12 player and take a $6 hit. In a month you can start a new auction, cut the player, the penalty becomes $3
-
So i need to ask..why do I see so many guys get claimed off waivers, then they get cut the same day..What am I missing?

The only thing to which I will shout out at is Bozzs for submitting a bid on every player who is auctioned! :)
-
Shout out to the strength of this league. The top 3 teams are currently in the top 50 global leaderboard for points scored in all of H2H. Pretty impressive.

You can also send/receive money in a trade.
-
Just so everyone is aware...you can wait a month and pick the player up again that you dropped and re-release to reduce the cap penalty by half.
-
Well that maybe true but not all of us are baseball savants :)
I only did that once with vazquez lol

You have a 40 man roster and $400. The point of cap penalties are to make you think twice about bidding up a player you may not really need only to cut him the next day.
-
Lol. you're salty because under the old system you'd do more add/drops then the entire league combined
-
cut a guy who is injured paid 3 cut him and take a 2 haircut. it is stupid.

can I ask why?
it gets increasingly difficult with these stupid penalties tying up our cap. I really have never got why you are penalized for using the waiver system.

The $400 hard cap? No, that won't happen.
-
is it possible to consider raising the cap number?

Per Niv, the site developer: "The algorithm doesn’t consider back to backs right now. I’m more than happy to make this a schedule generation priority for 2020. Back to backs stink, I’m with that owner"
-
I sent a message to Niv about it
-
I assume it's random
-
So, no one knows how the schedule is created?
-
Can anyone tell me how the schedule is created? Do the divisions mean anything when it comes to scheduling?
-
I think what happened was that that you two were tied, in the standings, and it used the coin flip to break the tie and not total points.
-
A quick question. I see Hot Mess won the auction for Shoemaker. We bid the same amount, but I am lower in the rankings. How did Hot Mess win the auction?
-
You started the auction and no one else bid. In that case you're stuck with the player.
-
justin miller was zeroed out so I thought that he would be put back in the pool without me getting hit ?

On the player page of any free agent, there will be a button that reads "Start Auction" in the upper right, below the players name.
