• If anyone here is considering another league, we have an opening in the xProspects league (FGPTS). Basically, it is standard Otto rules EXCEPT no player can be rostered until he has appeared in an MLB game (1 ab or 1 ip). Creates very interesting strategy differences from plain vanilla Otto. Actually, it is my favorite league. Message me if you have any interest. Thanks. (BTW, draft will be April 3 at 7 pm EDT).

• We are going to proceed with our current draft date and time. It is possible that one owner will not be able to participate, but there literally are no other weekend days between now and Opening Day. This is our best shot at full participation.

How about this, in general, would a weekday at 5pm EST work for people? And then, specifically, how about Monday, March 21 at 5pm EST? If the 21st is a no-go, I will send another poll. Sorry, everyone! I actually believed them when they said April 14 would be the earliest Opening Day, should have recognized it as the public pressure it really was.

• Maybe I am naive, but I expect a deal in time to preserve April 15, the 75th Anniversary of Jackie Robinson integrating MLB. I think MLB might even view an April 15 Opening Day as a marketing "win".

• Auction update: Sunday, April 10, Noon EST is currently our best fit. I will wait a few more days for the labor negotiations to continue, on the off chance that it is resolved and that MLB then decides to begin the season April 8, or something crazy that would jeopardize the April 10 date.
