Murphy underwent surgery in October to repair the articular cartilage in his right knee. He had previously been limited to playing catch and fielding grounders on his knees, so progressing to swinging a bat is positive news. He has a chance to be ready for Opening Day, but will need to continue making progress and get into a few spring games to make that happen.

I got screwed somehow last night.... I saw Chad Green as an NYY FA, so I bid on him and then looked at him later and noticed that Chad Green was already owned.... Very confusing and unfortunate as I wasted a roster spot on him

I don't believe an exception should be made. Just my two cents. No problem letting new owners make cuts. They should have the opportunity to keep players they actually want. The new owners are allowed a one time opportunity to cut players. We've had three new owners since the final day of off season cuts. Each has taken advantage of this rule: The rule is under adding and dropping players-
"h. If a team changes ownership, the new owner is given the opportunity to make one round of penalty-free cuts."

The cuts were allowed only for new people who took over teams, all others are locked till after the auction. As far as I know there are no exceptions to that rule

Just cut Shark Tank. I hope he is well. Seems like a strange case. He'd check his team every other day, but hasn't responded to any message and was overdue on his payment. In the end, Hot Mess and I decided the best course was to cut. I have put a message out to the Slack community for a new owner. If all else fails, we'll ask for a proxy for the auction and then find a new owner.

Personally I think we make it for March 4, and maybe make another attempt to contact Shark Tank. What is the risk/downside if they don't show?

I set the draft day and time. I did attempt to reach out to Shark Tank via email yesterday. He has not responded. However, he has checked his team recently...as in Monday. So, I feel like we have our hands tied a bit in how we want to proceed. My assumption is that he/she will be at the auction. If not? That's where we could run into problems.

I reached out to the owner of Shark Tank Sunday afternoon/evening. He has checked into the league today, but did not respond to my message about the auction. I am all for March 4th, and I assume we are good to go with an auction on March 4th. However, I'd like to make sure we have full participation in an auction. So...if you're out there Shark Tank...we'd really like to make sure you are good with March 4th.

I mentioned a month or so ago about creating a Group Me chat group for the league. I use this in 2 fantasy leagues. My other Ottoneu league and then a group I play baseball-football-hockey with all year long. It's just easier than the normal and arcane message boards. Yes. March 4th. My apologies. I coach high school tennis and I was working on an indoor practice schedule for March 3rd. I obviously confused the two. So yes. March 4th. It's a Sunday. 8-11pm.
