Arbitration results are complete and the offseason is underway through 1/31 (trades/cuts are live again). Seiya Later has requested to post their team for adoption, so I wanted to notify everyone we currently have two open teams posted.

A couple quick notes to share: Piggyback has been added as a co-commish going forward (thanks for volunteering). This will give us coverage to keep the league running smoothly and feel free to reach out to either of us. To find a new manager of Big Papi's team, please let me know if you have anyone interested to adopt the team. If I don't hear anything, the team will be put up for adoption on the Ottoneu Dashboard next Saturday. Take care all!

Hi league, wanted to say it's been a pleasure playing with all of you this season. Got way too many leagues and cannot maintain so many teams (time consuming and $$$). So we won't be renewing, enough talent to attract new owner for next year so you shoul be able able to quickly fill vacancy. have a good arb and a great future season! Thanks Commish for great work

MD, to answer your questions, Dont Judge will not he able to nominate or bid on the players they cut for 30 days, just like normal. And the players that are cut should not be carrying any salary when they are back in the free agent pool, thats something I will do in the commish tools. I imagine that this will only be a few players at most, so hopefully not too tough to manage.

So those players will go to the waiver wire with zero salary? And don't judge will be able to bid on them within the 30-day window? Is that how it works?

MD, The background for this penalty free round of cuts is that don't judge. Owner took over mid-season and has not made their cuts yet. This is in the rules for owners that take over abandoned teams. So from what I remember, their roster had about 14 or so players that were acquired before they took over. If they still want to do a round of cuts, it would be limited to those players and not once they acquired after taking over.

I'll message you to coordinate details on the 'free cut' - Don't Judge. Everyone else, my thought is that the free cut is applicable to players that were on the roster when it was abandoned earlier in the year, and not to players that Don't Judge bought at auction. And it's gotta be done at one time.

I say welcome to the league and I guess it's not worse two best friends than two family members as for trading. I would think that you can trade, but if very uneven which I can imagine, we always have the veto option. Have fun new guy

(3) And they also let me know they were initially confused how to do their one round of penalty cuts. So that's the reason for the drop / adds this morning.

(2) There is a new owner for GHG as of this morning. A family member of mine expressed interest in claiming GHG and this will be their first fantasy baseball league. So I wanted to both disclose that we have family ties, but also that they expressed a clear objective to beating me. I did say upfront that I don't plan to trade with them to avoid any impact to the league as a whole. Please feel free to post or message me directly on this if you have any concerns.

A few points to share on my end: (1) I would like to acknowledge Matthew Kory's time as commissioner of the league for several years. It would be great if another team owner was interested in a co-commissioner role. Please let me know.

Hi all, as we go into June, it looks like Gas House Gorillas is inactive since April 7. While I have messaged directly, mostly out of desire to identify Matt's preference on what he wants to do with the team this season, it seems like we are not going to hear anything. What do others think about having a new owner take on the team during the season? Joining now would allow a rebuild to get a headstart and improve the overall competitij for the leafue, in my opinion.

Pretty sure it was a trade agreed to before the keeper deadline, but processed on 2/1 after the obligatory processing period.
Trades have always been allowed through the keeper deadline (end of 1/31).

You can make trades in the offseason, you just can't start auctions

What is that transaction that went down on Feb 1? I thought rosters were locked.

Hi everybody - just a quick note on offseason timelines. Please take a look at your dashboard to confirm you've renewed your team for next season by Jan. 31. This is also the cut/keeper deadline. In February, we will get everyone's availability shared for the draft. An availability request will be sent by Feb. 10, and ask for responses by Feb. 20. My thought is to focus on the weekends of 3/2, 3/9 and 3/16 but also can include a few weeknight evenings. Reg. Season starts in Seoul on 3/20!
