Tex has been terrible, and as Wood said there's minimal signs of life there. I thought it was worth trading a few guys I value highly but wouldn't help me much this year for the chance of a coup down the road if Tex turns it back on.

plus, Carpenter already has more points than Tex in 50 less ABs
-
I value both of the guys high enough that I tried to do the deal for just one of them... guess a lot of it is in how you would individually value the players involved.

yes...Tex is showing no signs of anything that remotely has a pulse much like the rest of the yankees...most contenders already have quality first basemen or three so while its nothing this year and minimal next year I think its fair
-
Jeez, I know Tex is slumping but is that all he's worth? A recently knifed TJ lefty with 5 BB+ rate and a platoon 3B? Wow, looks like pricing are coming down for affordable veterans
-
Yeah, I want to say ~5,025
-
It's 1:17 and Shoeless is at 4996.6. I swear he was over 5,000 to begin the day, correct?
-
AG in RF again today.... there's 4!
-
Just bought my ticket to see Harper play the Braves in ATL Friday night. Should be fun.
-
my bullpen carrying my staff as well right now. Wade Davis at 6 p/ip from a SP spot helps, and Jake Diekman has struck out 10 of the 19 batters he's faced so far for an almost 20 k/9 rate. The back end of the Cleveland bullpen really carrying me though.

If you have 5 GS or 10 games total at a position I think you earn eligibility. Distinction between games started and games played.
-
ok, he said "RP = 10 appearances" - so I guess I just assumed that was all positions.
-
Oh, I thought I saw Niv say on Twitter it was 10. Didn't check the actual rules, heh
-
Of the top 7 teams my offense is epically bad. But my pitching is keeping me in the game. Averaged almost 18 points/IP last night
-
Just looked - he only needs to start 5 games for OF eligibility. He's already got 3. It will happen.
-
yea, playing RF outside of interleague as he did last night gives me hope it will happen. Is 10 games the requirement here?

10 games unlikely in just interleague, but with 6-7 OF on the DL the Sox are desperate
-
he played there in Philly too

if AGon picks up OF eligibility I may be in the market for another big time 1b

I couldn't pick the 39 year old out of a small crowd, but Byrdak quickly becoming a bullpen favorite in the Strikes clubhouse. Another 1/3 IP Hold tonight worth 8.50 points; averaging 11 pts/IP. Difference maker in a tight race.
-
I have a ton of outfielders. If you are looking for a decent bat, let me know.
-
AGon in RF tonight...
-
Almost did. Gattis has a pretty cool story....kind of like josh hamilton without all the meth.
-
Surprised Syndicate didn't bid on Gattis...
-
Interesting article about Hamilton and his approach on FanGraphs today.
-
Just 227 points separate 1 - 7
-
Four bombs in just 15 AB's so far on the night for MoPain. That'll bring you up in the standings pretty quick...
-
YES! No ACL tear for Berkman. Meniscus tear instead. Could be be 6 weeks. Let's see.
-
Trout YTD: 76 AB, 5 2B, 4 HR, 10 BB, 6 SB
-
Pujols YTD: 166 AB, 8 2B, 3 HR, 10 BB, 1 SB

I'd say top 6 are contenders right now. Anybody within 200 points can make that up with a good day.

I agree, still like Chiefs team. Injuries will continue to play a big part this season as the weather warms up. Agree - this format much more enticing this season than last.
-
but if I was picking a favorite, it'd be the Chiefs at this point

yea - 175-225 days are easily possible here and can change things in a hurry. If you have 3 or 4 SPs going you could take it even higher. I still think any of the top 7 teams can win the title, giving me much more faith in this format.

Even up at the top. Not out of "one big day" reach.
-
Still lots of standings volatility ahead, I think...
-
Chiefs is over 40 IP behind Shoeless, so he's in a pretty good spot and I'd consider him the team to beat at this point with that roster.

At least now your boy Matt Adams has a place to play. Probably a wash.
-
The ACL is popular this year
-
Knew I shouldn't have asked for Berkman as a part of that deal...torn ACL, out for year. Damn it.
-
Glad there's no limit to the 60-Day DL list! XD
-
Teams 3 - 6 still bunched up, separated by 26 points total. David Wright continues to put Shoeless Joes on his back and refuses to give up the lead. Almost June...
-
Yeah, you would think adding minor league players in a daily league would e a piece of cake. Stinks you have to wait so long
-
Matt Adams called up today. Is he available for me to put in my lineup for tonight's game? Nope. That is quite frustrating...
-
Those $&!*#&! home runs are killing me.
-
Lots of movement in the standings today. Lots of teams bunched up still
-
i can't believe I have 2000 points.
