Lucky Strikes's trading block has been updated!

Burnett for $1 is a nice pickup for Shoeless
-
Before games started today I had 5603 points. So far today I have 1 AB for -1.00 points. And yet, I'm now down to 5589?
-
...speaking of deception, for those of you counting (just me) since the Kershaw trade went down: Kershaw 5.6 pts/IP; Gio 7.1 pts/IP
-
Yeah he throws his fastball about 75% of the time and at about 93-94 it must have good deception and movement
-
If you break Beachy's mechanics down, he hides the ball extremely well, also...batters can't pick it up until it's on the way.
-
or maybe the Braves tried to convert his curve to a SL, one way or the other
-
and went back to what he knew best
-
there was a good article on him like a year ago, I can't remember, probably FG, but in essence he had come up throwing FB/SL, and the Braves tried to change it to a 12-6 Curve, but last year he ditched that
-
I still can't really figure out how he does it, but Beachy is nasty....
-
not yet...soon...
-
Myers called up?
-
coming soon to a stadium near you: Wil Myers. Beast.

must've had it already, he's been in my OF for a day now. Great first game with the Knights for Tex, 2 HRs in Oak. Guess that absurd new aggresive approach paying off.

Sounds like AG is getting his 5th start in RF tonight...
-
Highlights from last nights Braves game: 1) Harper is legit, 2) Heyward homered six rows to my left, 3) the fan than ran out onto the field in the 8th is still busy picking grass out of his eyelids....

The Syndicate's trading block has been updated!
-
yeah but you've got 30-60 IPs in hand against the top contenders. But agree that there look like there are 5 reasonable contenders right now
-
Agreed with Joes. I was in first place five days ago and a few of you pegged my team as the one to beat. Now I'm in sixth place, 400 points out of first. Long season.
-
Shoeless Joes's trading block has been updated!
-
I do like my team a little more than last year though
-
way too early in the season to be talking favorites in my opinion...two bad nights and I'm in 5th.
-
and regardless how the season yurns out, Joes has to be GM of the year. To take what he started with and turn them into this juggernaut while maintaining a ML system and with the players he has on the DL, simply incredible.

on another note, I will be on a plane on and off for the next 33 hours and then will be on a 13 hour time difference for a week, so may be slow to respond to some things. Have a nice holiday weekend everyone.

I feel like I have a team capable of catching him, eswpecially adding Tex and Morse this week, but right now I am crashing. At one point just a few weeks ago I was averaging 5.8/5.7, down to 5.4/5.4 fast.

Especially if WAR Horse leaves Haren on his bench during a CGSO..!
-
6 HR for Shoeless tonight. Tough to catch...
-
I honestly had no idea Konerko was the #3 scoring hitter in Ottoneau when I traded for him. Totally missed that...
-
Teixeira: ?I?m putting too many balls in play instead of taking that swing to hit a home run and drive the ball...I'm going to be more aggressive".
-
The Joes have been steadily increasing their lead. Gap growing wider... Obviously still very much a race, but the others are gonna have to reverse the trend!
-
this season so far is restoring my faith in this format that I had lost last year

WAR Horse, Chiefs, Knights still very much in the game. MoPain making a big run but well over the IP cap. Durham steady as they come, and no one can seem to catch Shoeless...
-
Mark it down: At 8:15 AM I have 5005.7 points. Gonna watch it today...still skeptical.
-
I have a few decent specs if anyone wants to trade me a legit stud.
-
Wow, great deal for MoPain. Everyone trying for the title. I like it.
-
Big day for MoPain...
-
wow can a bad day throw you back in the standings in this race

I would like a decent MI please, someone help me. Show pity for a 10th place team...
-
i would have given more for tex, but it's my fault for not offering. i really like Duffy, though, hope he comes back even stronger...
-
There's also a direct relationship between the amount of disparaging and the tightness of the standings...
-
its perfectly fine to disparage trades when you disagree with them....thats what makes this league fun...plus it makes both sides of the deal come up and say what their thought process was...
-
i have rizzo and EE to hold me down at first...both of whom are more productive and cheaper
-
Don't get me wrong: not trying to disparage any trade. Love the free market. Just surprised Tex wasn't worth more
-
and his AA/AAA control issues were bigger than Duffy's
-
Duffy at AA and AAA had walk rates of 2, he's hardly a control disaster, he's a 23 year old in the majors. Matt Moore is having similar command issues but I don't think it darkens his outlook
-
If you're super high on Duffy (I was earlier this season), maybe it works but I hate waiting on injuries...very impatient by nature and try to minimize them wherever possible. Reason I dealt Luebke.
-
If everyone already has one or two 1B, wouldn't you want to keep the one reasonably priced one to compete next year in case so few are available in the draft pool?
-
I just look at the averages, where Tex, despite starting slow every year, has averages 1000 pts over the past three years. Duffy throws hard but don't see how post TJ is going to fix those walk rates anytime soon.
