October 4, 2024 12:17 PM : Atlanta president of baseball operations Alex Anthopoulos said Friday that the team plans to pick up Bummer's $7.25 million club option for 2025, Grant McAuley of 92.9 The Game Atlanta reports.
Analysis: Bummer, 31, held a 3.58 ERA and 69:18 K:BB over 55.1 innings in 2024 in his first season in Atlanta. The left-hander could have an even more important role in 2025 with A.J. Minter heading into free agency and recovering from hip surgery.
