  • Re: salary cap - this is from the rules page (link below): "At no time shall a team willingly go over roster and salary cap limits. If a team knowingly does this, they will face penalties at the discretion of their league's commissioner."

  • Ok thanks. Just one more question. Can you only loan out money you have available to your salary cap or can you go over. For example, I have $11 available to my cap can I loan out $20 and go over the cap and if so what kind of penalties do I receive. Again thanks for help with this. First time being in a league like this.

  • Loan thing is just like trading cash. Credit to or against your salary cap as indicated. A way to even trades out a bit and/or navigate salary cap concerns. If I trade you an established but maybe underproducing player with a 40 salary for a hot younger player with 5 salary I might give you 30 loan to make the numbers more even, help you avoid going over the cap (or backing out of the deal for that reason), or entice you to take on the albatross contract. Another bargaining chip.
