Cease - I did not mean to drop Cease. Meant to drop Desclefani.

Looking forward to tonights draft.
-
see you tomorrow.
-
Yup: "Draft Day: Wednesday, March 23, 2022 6:30 PM EDT."
-
I see March 23 at 6:30
-
because i'm on a weird time zone, it says "Draft Day: Thursday, March 24, 2022 12:30 PM +14" which is the stupidest dumbest thing. so can someone please confirm for me that they see W 3/23 6:30 PM ET?
-
yes sorry everyone, will schedule, please let me know if you can NOT make it and we will fudge the timing a bit
-
Works for me! Thanks all.
-
Good by me. Commish, does that work for you?

Draft at 6:30ET on 3/23 works for me.
-
So are we gonna try to make 3/23 work? 6:30 ET seems doable, yeah?
-
6:30 Eastern is earliest I can start, but can make 6:30 on March 23.
-
Can make 23rd work, prefer early
-
23rd works I’m free after 5pm EST
-
I can make 3/23, yes. Would definitely prefer an earlier start time.
-
March 23 is fine. It would be great to start by 5 or 6 eastern if possible but can start later if necessary. Anthony
-
March 23 fine for me. I can start as early as 6:30 PM Eastern.
-
The earlier the better for me on Wednesdays - I have soccer practices on Wednesday night (I coach) that begin at 7:30PT, that I'd prefer not to miss if possible. I'll also check to see if Peter and I can tag-team the draft.

Hi all,
March 23rd works for me. Any chance we start at 8:00 or 8:30?
Ray
-
salfino: it appears you used it correctly. it is a free tool that runs on donations. everyone else: 2/23 looks like the best date. ANIANO/OZ/ROTOWIRE/DREADFUL: can you guys make W 3/23 at either 9 pm ET or 9:30 pm ET?
-
When are we looking likely for the draft? Thanks!
-
Just tell me where and when. I can make any night except Thursdays work. Your meet site wanted my credit card and I didn't even trust I was activating the right thing so that was enough of that. Not giving my credit card to anyone to arrange a draft time.
-
Response to date indicates the potential sweet spots are evenings of March 22, 23 and 29.
-
Thanks! Updated my times.
-
link: https://www.when2meet.com/?14935166-laJl3. again, highlight your available START TIMES, knowing that, given any of the times you highlighted, the draft will extend for ~2.5 hours beyond. if i'm not being absolutely crystal clear about this, please let me know. thanks again everyone!
-
hi everyone. i know it was not ideal to postpone the draft day but i feel much more comfortable knowing baseball is on the horizon. opening day is allegedly april 7. i made a link for us to choose dates + times for the draft. to be clear: these are for START TIMES. so if you highlight 8 pm ET, you are saying, i am ok with the draft starting at 8 pm ET and going until ~10:30 pm ET. you are NOT highlighting all of your availability. URL in next message. please reply ASAP. thanks!
-
Thanks Alex - it's never easy being the commish. Let's hope we can find our way out of the CBA abyss.
-
i apologize for not being more direct: we are not on for tonight. based on the feedback, the most appropriate way forward seems to be delaying our draft to correspond more closely with whenever opening day ends up being. i hate to be the one who has to make that decision. we will be able to find a date that works for everyone; we always do. if we're lucky, it could be near the end of march, but it's possible it could be in april... or may.
-
Still a valid question - I'm available to draft now if you folks are up for it.
-
So is the draft tonight? Or are we delaying?
-
Just throwing it out one last time: We had a date/time that didn't draw an objection from anyone, so I think we should draft. If we can't do it this week for whatever reason(s), we should set a new date. It's going to be difficult to pull this group together on short notice. Weeknights are 7pm ET are not generally great, although this one worked.
-
Most week nights other than Wednesday’s would work for me.
-
Weekday nights at 7 est are fine and yes I’m in favor of waiting. Just was seeing what my Wednesday was looking like.
-
i think once we see a season in sight, it will make sense to put something on the books. it will be on a weekday without a doubt, and it will take about 2.5 hours without a doubt. it sounds like 7 pm ET might be a good time—would that general time work for everyone, tentatively?
-
hey everyone, off work and catching up. salfino, i'll DM you about cuts. as for drafting wednesday or pushing back: again, only half the league even responded originally, so i'm reticent to call wednesday's draft day "locked in." and including those who are flexible, we have a simple majority who are in favor of delaying. i will keep the floor open to discuss this, if this really ruffles feathers, but i think we all saw this coming. frankly it was my fault for proposing something too e

Yep, also good with letting mike cut players.

I'm good with letting Salfino cut players and also available to draft Wednesday starting as early as 7pm EST or also fine if we push. Man I'm too easy.

Hey all. Letting Mike cut players is fine with me. Second are we locked in to auction on Wednesday? If so, what time? Realistically I’m home from work and ready to go by 5:30 eastern at the earliest. Either way, if this can be locked down by tomorrow so we can all plan accordingly. Thanks
-
If it's okay for me to do this, just tell me what you want me to do. If the commissioner or whoever is in charge wants me please text at 201-978-8524. I'm under 10 feet of snow with Topps writing cards still from being sick. I'm missing a lot of emails that are not client related. If not, there's nothing really for me to do at the auction because I have no money.
-
And I do not object to allowing the cuts referenced below, fine with that.
-
I can start earlier than 7:30 Eastern Wednesday to try to help out. Unsure if 7 would work, though 7:15 should certainly be doable.
-
If I recall correctly, this usually is pretty quick, like 2-2.5 hours, so either 4 or 4:30p PT should get it done in time. I'll also see if Peter is available to jump in if needed.

I certainly have no objection to Mike cutting players, post-deadline. All good. I probably tried to trade for a few of the guys he wants to cut. (And, again, I'm still good with Wednesday for the draft. Any time of day. Calendar gets a lot messier for me as we get deeper into March.)
-
If you would let me still make the cuts I put in, that would be great. I just didn't want to ask for special consideration since this was ultimately my fault for not knowing that the system didn't do it on that date. I'm sorry about that.
-
Re: Draft - Fine with Wednesday or pushing it back. I can start ~4PT to try to get this done so Jeff can make practice. Not sure if that works for everyone. Either way, we need to decide today.
-
Salfino - No big deal. This is not the first time something like this has occurred. I'm sure the room would allow Alex/I to make those manual cuts for you to get your team where you hoped it would be. On the other hand, if you're truly not interested in playing, that's a different story. Let me know how we can help.
-
Just discovered that the players I designated to be cut were not automatically cut and they are all stuck on my roster. I never played this league in the offseason. So my team is going to super non-competitive. I was quite sick from January through this deadline but I did designate players to be cut. I'm at a huge disadvantage and am obviously screwing up this league. Maybe you can get a replacement and allow them to make the cuts. I did a bunch of things last year that wasted a ton of my time.
-
While I understand the reasoning behind a delay, we actually found a date that worked for seemingly everyone. That’s pretty incredible. We should keep it imo.
