Congrats to the winner. Guys I'm going to have to step away from this league. I appreciate you all letting me play and good luck!
-
Yeah, congrats! Well played.
-
Congrats! Definitely a nail biter!
-
Thanks, thought I was going to fade in the final week, phew!! Great seasons everyone, looking forward to next year!
-
Congrats Luke!! Great season!!
-
as it becomes increasingly clear that i botched my draft this year, i'm considering opening up mookie betts ($54) to offers—looking for a combination of FV and surplus-laden PV. i'll start reaching out to folks if i hear crickets
-
Looking for some pitching, lots of value bats available.
-
open to shopping rodon ($9) to a rebuilding-ish team (or a patient contender), for whomever's interested
-
Happy Opening Day…may all of your leagues be wins (except this one) and all of your IPAs be hazy!
-
My condolences to you and your family. I’m good for 9. All the best, TIM
-
tony—i'm so sorry. i will move the draft to 9 pm ET—anyone with issues can reach out to me via DM. we all planned to be drafting at 9 pm anyway so i imagine this should be ok with everyone. it's more important that everyone is there for the beginning of the draft rather than the end.
-
My deepest sympathy, Anthony.
-
Hi everyone. Is there any chance we can start a little later tonight. Unfortunately my mother passed away suddenly yesterday morning and my home is the meeting place for family as my wife and I am now my elderly fathers caretaker. We will have family here for a bit and I'm expecting the house to be quiet about 9ish . I am looking forward to tonight as it will provide a distraction of the last 48 hours. If this is an inconvenience I understand and will try and join at some pt. Thanks, Anthony
-
yes, 8:30 pm ET! see you all there!
-
looking forward to it!
-
Still good for me (if we're reconfirming) :)
-
Just reconfirming that tonight is good for me. Approved!
-
Reaching out to confirm date/time of the auction. Is the draft tonight at 8:30?
Ray
-
yes, i believe you're right. 3/13 looks *barely slightly* better for everyone, so that's the final verdict. M 3/13 at 8:30 pm ET. if this feels too tight (because it's right around the corner), speak NOW and we can push back to 3/27.
-
Looking like the 13th or 27th, yea?

ok everyone: because we are all busy, we only have, like, seven draft days available to us. i made a when2meet poll here: https://www.when2meet.com/?18902915-mwbuL. PLEASE FILL IT OUT ASAP. how it works: click all STARTING times that you are able to draft. for example, if you click 8 pm EST, you are committing to an 8 PM START TIME. remember, the draft typically lasts 2-2.5 hours. i set the available starting times between 5 and 11 pm EST, but i can widen it if necessary. PLEASE DO THIS! PLEASE!
-
Tuesdays & Thursdays are tough for me due to coaching conflicts. I can usually be home by 6:30 PT on those days.
-
Mar 3-12 will be quite difficult for me, thanks Alex!
-
My only conflicts are Tuesday March 7 (I'm drafting Tout That evening) and Thursday March 16 (work event). Otherwise most Sundays through Fridays should work
-
As of now, looks like dates that would be out for me are March 10-11, 18-19 and 31. Also, the evening of March 12.
-
March 19-25th will be very difficult for me, pretty flex outside of that week.
-
as opposed to letting this get away from me like i do each year because i am a bad commissioner, i will ask RIGHT NOW: whether here on the message board or via DM, please let me know which dates are OFF LIMITS for you. i'm sure that will be a good chunk of march for a lot of us. as soon as i know which dates don't work, i can narrow down which ones do, and the sooner we get ahead of this, the easier it will be to schedule. thank you everyone!!!! i will hunt you down!!!!!!!!!!!!!
-
Welcome, Carlos! Stove is hot!
-
Jack Flaherty, Pederson, Cruz (Nelson), Brantley, JD, among others available (don't consider anyone untouchable). Looking for OF, RP
-
Hey there -- looking for some salary relief by shopping Vladdy, the #1 1B at $51. If you have the cap room and are interested in the elite bat, please make me an offer. Thanks for taking a look!
-
Thanks a lot for the invitation, Alex! I'm extremely pleased to be part of this league with all of you, looking forward to an awesome and competitive season!
-
please welcome freshly FSWA-nominated carlos marcano to the league. he will be taking over eric karabell's team. that rounds out the league for this year. everyone get your cuts and trades in by the 31st, and we'll start brainstorming some ideal dates for a draft. thanks!
-
looking to move anthony rizzo ($14) or matt olson ($25) for any of (1) a catcher who doesn't suck badly, (2) 3B depth, and/or (3) a closer. lmk!
-
Thanks! Looking forward to competing with everyone this year and crawling out of the cellar. I'm open for trades!
-
Nice! Welcome, Tim. If you have any questions about how any of this works just drop a message in the chat and we'll lend a hand.
-
hi everyone, please welcome to the league tim cavanaugh of BHQ. he's taking over the BHQ team. hi tim!
-
Hey Folks: Just a reminder that January 31st is the keeper deadline. You can cut/trade to get under cup and meet roster requirements by then. Each team needs to be under the $400 salary cap with at least $1 available per open roster spot. Hope all is well. Happy Holidays.
-
REMINDER ABOUT ARBITRATION! you have five days left. talking to you, eno, karabell, kephart, salfino, aniano, and the dreadful greats
-
Continued... If a team does not allocate at least $1 to every other team, none of their allocations will count & iit will be as if they did not participate.
If a team does not allocate all $25, none of their allocations will count & it will be as if they did not participate.
-
Arbitration is now open! The allocation system gives a $25 budget to each team to allocate towards players on other teams.
Each team must allocate at least $1 to every other team and no team can allocate more than $3 to other teams.
At the end of arbitration, all players have their salary increased by the amount allocated towards them.
Allocations take place after the initial offseason salary increase, so any allocations will be in addition to the $1 or $2 increase each player
-
Congrats, Andy! Nicely done my friend.
-
Thanks Guys, everything fell into place this year.
-
Agreed, congrats!
-
the league standings were interesting until about the second week of september, and then... they became extremely uninteresting. congrats andy on the drubbing!
-
Can someone explain the logic in taking a hit for dropping a player, but then getting that cap space back when you bring up for auction and cut the player?
Seems like a lot of unnecessary transactions, no?
Ray
-
Lol yeah I assumed if someone else nominated him I could bid on him.....whoops
-
You can ... but he has to clear for 30 days first.
