Just a reminder for everyone that arbitration ends on November 14.

Hi Jason. Welcome. I hope you'll enjoy staying with us!

Hi Jason...welcome to the league! My feeling is that you can build a team around Tarik Skubal.

What's up everyone. I claimed the Say Hey Kids, I played in a few Ottoneu leagues a couple years ago and am looking to get back into it. Looking forward to getting to know you all. And pull this team outta the gutter.
Thanks-Jason

Hi Commish and owners, congrats to the winners, wanted to say it's been a pleasure playing with all of you this season. Got way too many leagues and cannot maintain the rythm (time consuming and $$$). So I won't be renewing many of my leagues like this one, got some talent to attract new owner for next year so you should be able to quickly fill vacancy. have a good arb and a great future season! Thanks Commish for great work

Congrats, Building. I look forward to next season.

I just got home internet service back this evening. It was out due to last week's hurricane.

Hi everyone...Expect to see the annual salary increases to hit on or about October 7. Arbitration is scheduled to start on October 15. Please let me know if you have any questions.
-
Congratulations Building! Thanks all for a fun season.
-
Thank you to everyone for the kind words. It was a really fun year and felt at times like I was never going to be able to stay ahead of HCHH. I think it could have turned out diff but for some bad injury luck hitting HCHH at the wrong time. Looking forward to the new year starting!
-
Congrats to Building for breaking thru after several competitive seasons. Had to outlast our defending champ in the process, so well done!!

Beyond 4 rocked it with a dramatic late surge. Quite the neck and neck with Sey Hey these last weeks / months. Congrats to the champ!
-
And, yes, good job "Building 4 2021"

I need to research how arbitration works; I don't know when it occurs. Is there a cheat sheet or rules somewhere?
-
Congrats Beyond!!
-
As I cut a player (and lowered salary thanks to waivers) I no more need to sell my RPs. Thanks to anyone for offers.
-
So no one has any interest in an RP?
-
I see a lot of comps of Strasburg for Skenes. But, he reminds me more of Roger Clemens coming out of Texas.
-
Can you imagine the nerves that Skenes has? I am sure he will settle in and do fine.
-
Scott is really good! Are you watching Skenes? His command isn't quite there, but his stuff is electric.

Watching Christian Scott (1.1 - 3K)

I refer to it as Justin Steele Day, but yes, watching it.
-
Happy Skenes Day! Anybody else watching his start?

Yes, the 60 day IL gives you the roster spot back but you have to carry the salary on your cap.
For players who are out for significant time or for the rest of the season, you need to make the choice of whether to carry that player for possible benefits next year. For example, if you have a cheap Shane McClanahan because he went for less is the auction due to his injury, you might want to hold him for the year so you get him at a cheap salary next year when he could return to his ac

I am still working on understanding the roster rules for our league. If a player is on the 60-day IL, I only get an extra roster spot, but no relief in my salary cap? If this is correct, then for players like Wade Miley, who is about to have TJ surgery, there is no reason to keep him on my roster for 2024, as his salary of $5 will count against my cap? TIA for answering my question.

I will be running late. Mom has a flat about 8 miles down the road. Please don't get mad, I can't help it. I look forward to our season. See ya soon...

To *SAY HEY KIDS* and *HEY COW HOLY HEY*
USA adopt daylight saving time starting from Sunday March 10, in advance of your own country (March 29 in Israel, March 31 in UK as in Italy).
So usual gap in hours on March 17 will be one hour less than usual: it means that in UK auction will start at 4.00 PM when (at me in Italy it will be 5.00 PM and) in Isralel at 6.00 PM.
-
Thanks Commish. Looking forward to it!
-
Happy with time - think it’s 5pm here in the UK 😃

This works great for me over here in Israel! I don't have to wake up in middle of the night for once. Thanks!!

Auction date of March 17, 12 pm EDT, is great for me.

I don't believe there is time to complete a slow draft.
-
Thank you to everyone for their input. As previously mentioned, if I did not receive date and time from you, I've assumed you are good with all possible dates and times. Given the input received, the draft date is Sunday, March 17 at 6 a.m. Eastern/9 a.m. Pacific. I realize the time is different than the noon option I mentioned, but hopefully everyone can be flexible enough to adjust form a 9 a.m. Eastern/noon Pacific start time to the 6 a.m. Eastern/9 a.m. Pacific time.
-
And now...? If we need a slow draft, we need to start as soon as...!?
-
Not crazy about slow drafts, but if we can't find a time that works for everyone I suppose that's the way to go.

The slow drafts I’ve done have run on a 24hr nomination cycle with a 12hr reset if someone is outbid. They are active 24hr a day, which accommodates all time zones pretty well.
-
I had sent this directly to the Commish a few days ago but it looks like we're posting here: I can do noon PDT on March 9,10,16,17 and 5pm PDT on March 6, 8, & 15. I'm also open to a slow draft but agree it could be tricky for those overseas for the times that the slow draft would be active.
-
I have never done a slow draft, but I don't consider this fact relevant. In any case, I believe it is very important to set the right time interval to ensure that the difference in time zones does not have an impact.
