I like the idea of a slow auction.

I’m in favor of slow draft

Would we consider doing a slow draft?

10 and 16 March are out for me
In UK, so nothing later than 9pm EST for me ideally

My only off day is Sundays. I do get 1 Saturday a month and can check to see when that is tomorrow. Sundays would be great.

I consider that friday 5 PST is saturday at me (2am). Not the better choice, but I'd make it working.
-
As for Saturday, I have no time problems (no problems to start after 2pm EST, I can sleep during sunday).
On Sunday I would have trouble starting after 2pm EST as I need to wake up early on monday.
Sunday 10th march is the only day I can't be with you, but Sons of Pitches already said the same for that day.
-
I will do whatever time and day is agreed upon.
-
I can do March 2, 9, 16 at noon PST, or March 1, 8, 15 at 5pm PST.

I cannot make March 8-12 work, as I go to my college team conference tourney. I will try to make any other date work. Thank you for understanding.
-
Monday thru Friday during daytime hours will be almost impossible for me. I work night shifts from 9:30p to 6:30a, I'm up all night, sleep all day like that old Slaughter song. Weekends, I can adjust my sleep time a little better with Sundays the more favorable day for me.

Everyone, please send me a direct message detailing the dates/times you can make it and I'll see what works best. Please send them to me by February 9. If I do not hear from you, I will assume you are good with all possible dates/times. This is always a difficult process so please be as flexible as possible. Thank you in advance!
-
As an alternative, Mondays/Wednesdays/Fridays at 5 pm Pacific time could also work but I understand that may mean for a late night for those who do not reside in the USA. But those dates would include March 1, 4, 6, 8, 11, 13, and 15 prior to the March 20 start of the season that would leave time for FA pickups.
-
Hi everybody...ok, so here comes the hardest part of the season -- finding an auction date and time that works for everyone living across multiple time zones. Season starts early this year on March 20, so we need to have the auction completed in time to allow teams to make FA bids and pickups prior to March 20. So, I'm going to propose noon Pacific time on either March 2, 3, 9, 10, 16, 17 (all Saturdays/Sundays).
-
Waiting for spring trainings, we should start to make programs for draft. I think it will take some time to complete as we are in search of 160 players. Please remember that I live in Italy where time is "CET": this means East Standard Time + 6. Thank you.
-
Reminder....All teams must be renewed ($20.) and under salary cap by 1/31.
-
That is awesome EC. Love it.
-
Love it! Spice up the hot stove.
-
I got a total of 7 trade offers, all of them were great offers. I had noticed on the Trade Blocks that many teams had high salary players listed to trade. I had cap space available and figured why not. I moved 7 of my players away and took on 6 players. I listed all the offers on a spread sheet with projections and the positions of the players, and plotted out cap space to determine who I can afford. It's a risky strategy, but I took over a team near the bottom of last year's standings.

Wow. Electric City has turned this league upside down. This is something
-
For the sake of transparency, I think I can take on two high salary players. I have three offers so far, but I would entertain more offers. I plan to take as many offers as I can for a couple of days, evaluate them, and try to fit in two of them in my budget and line-up. As a Reds fan, I wouldn't trade away a Reds player, but any Reds coming my way would be welcomed.

We still stay in touch with Uncle Ron. We loved Williamsport. I think every baseball fan should attend the LLWS atleast once in their life.

Man, he was dominant in the game against Grosse Point (watched the whole game) and I wonder how far was the bomb in the trees in the other segment, but we knew from the crack of the bat. If you want to trade me the rights to Hunter Ditsworth for future considerations....haha. Pretty impressive for 12-13, saw you in the stands (I think), looked like a pretty proud dad. Thanks for sharing this beautiful moment
-
I think I told you this but I was sitting right behind the Lufkin families when your son hit that bomb in the championship game. Williamsport is my hometown and I happened to be there during the LLWS in '17. I got the tickets from Ron Frick, who I think was the host for your son's team. It was a great moment for me, so I can't imagine what it was like for you.

Yaba, thanks for sharing the links to the games. I'll watched the "shorts." The HR into the trees was impressive. I'll watch the complete game against Grosse Point after I get home from work.

He is in his 2nd year of college. Yes. Youtube has several of his homeruns during the 2017 Little League World Series. His name is Hunter Ditsworth. You can even watch the complete games on there still. Youtube search 2017 little league world series. Southwest vs Great Lakes. He pitched in that one and hit a bomb. Aaron Boone loved him. As did Tim Kurkjiam.

I am from East Texas. In 2017 my son played in Williamsport. We won the United States side but fell to Japan in the World game. Cool side note, my son hit a homerun vs Japan.

I didn't grow up in Anderson, SC, but has been home now for the last 20 years. Back in the late 90's, I lived in PA for three years due to work and traveled the state. I always liked my trips to Scranton, PA. I was based in Boiling Springs, PA, near Carlisle so i could go north/south on I-81, or east/west on the Turnpike (I-76). I enjoyed PA, but the ex-wife didn't.

That's a much more interesting history than that of Scranton, who took the nickname because it had the country's first electric street cars.

Hi all -- I just took over Gunnar and look forward to the league. I was recruited by SF and Hey Cow, with whom I play in another ON league, so you can blame them if I don't live up to the league standards! ;) But I'll be an active owner throughout the year. Look for a a new team name, and some trade offers, soon!
