Hunter Greene was going to be the pick, but in your wisdom, Josh, you took him, as you took so many bright flowering young men at Khe Sanh, at Langdok, at Hill 364.
Leather Daddies selects former Auburn commit Jordan Balazovic, SP, Minnesota. War Eagle, Detroit. You’re on the clock....

I'm in favor of the proposed rule, which if I understand correctly, is that after a 12-hour period we move on to the next pick. However, anyone who has their pick skipped can make their pick as soon as they return. This is reasonable and not overly punitive. I agree that we need to adhere to the 12-hour rule, or I can tell you from experience in another MiLB league, people will literally take days and days to pick.
-
As am I.

I'm on board with that
-
I too believe that’s reasonable
-
I like that idea
-
When I say all following teams, it would just mean the next team is on the clock. They would still have their 12 hour period in which no team after them could pick first. Order matters. This isn't 'Nam

I would say do it like the NFL draft. If they don't get their pick in on time, all of the following teams are eligible to pick immediately, though the team that missed the deadline can make their pick at any time.

What are we thinking on penalizing skipped picks, league. I don't want to be imposing unilateral sanctions on someone without consulting the rest of the league first. Should we skip them until they CAN submit a pick, or until the end of the round, or what? My first instinct is to the end of the round: some incentive to get the pick in on time, but not a 100+ pick penalty...
-
Larnach went 4th overall
-
Sorry guys didn't have access to internet and couldn't do it on my IPhone (I'm old), proud to select Trevor Larnach, OF from MIN
-
It has been 18 hours since last pick and no word, so Big Papi has been skipped. Pick 2.5 - Erick Pena - KC - OF. Dreadnought is next up
-
George Kirby SP SEA.
Big Papi Memories is OTC
-
In this case Polar Bear Pride
-
I think it would
-
Should we try and announce the next team to select in the message where we make our pick? I understand people aren’t glued to their email or the message board. Perhaps this would help?
-
Sleep is the reason for the 12-hour time limit as well. Unless we have any Rip Van Winkles in the league
-
Sure it’s not a huge deal. Let’s just try to prevent it. Also, the link to the spreadsheet is under league settings
-
I had to pick from my phone as I didn't have access to my computer as I was working and couldn't find the sheet quickly enough as it was lost in the 10000 messages. My 12 hour time limited was shortened because I do sleep, so simple mistake. I have saved the sheet to my phone so it doesn't happen moving forward.
-
I would just say try to make sure that you're not picking someone that's already been picked, but I don't know that we need to punish people for honest mistakes. It's really not that big of a deal. If it keeps happening sure, but to err is human, to forgive divine.

Unless people are heartily opposed - I’m instituting the rule mentioned below: pick is skipped if you make a duplicate pick. I also think that everyone with skipped turns should be able to make them up at the end of the draft in order to maintain 15 prospects to start out but you’ll lose the position

Settle down leather daddies.
-
I think since we haven’t established that rule, we can give Tubesteak a break but I’m in favor of that going forward. Trying to revisit picks may be too difficult as we go further on. Make sure to check the spreadsheet guys!! Tubesteak would you like to make another selection
-
Do you forfeit your turn if you draft someone who has already been selected?
-
Jordan Groshans
-
Tubesteak is first on the clock this morning
-
With my picks I will go with:
Miguel Amaya, C, CHC
Kevin Alcantara, OF, NYY
