Rules for Six Picks
-
Every day you can pick six players that have a combined value up to $120 - 1 C, 1 CI, 1 MI, 1 OF, 1 SP, 1 RP
- CI - Corner Infielder, 1B or 3B
- MI - Middle Infielder, 2B or SS
- Pricing is based on ottoneu Average Values plus an adjustment based on picksix usage rate.
- Edit and save your entry until the first MLB game starts for the day.
-
Collect points based on your players' performance for the day.
- Uses the FanGraphs point system from ottoneu Fantasy Baseball
- Starting pitchers accrue 1/2 their regular points, to bring them in line with points scoring of players at other positions
- If you choose a player who is playing in a doubleheader, you have to choose which game of the doubleheader you want to count towards your team's point total
- If you choose a RP who starts a game, you will receive no points at RP.
-
The entry with the most points at the end of the day wins.
- Does not include the completion of suspended games.
- Entries do not carry over between days.
How Points Work
Ottoneu Six Picks scoring is a slightly modified version of the FanGraphs Points system. You may not be familiar with this system, first introduced as a scoring option in ottoneu Fantasy Baseball. It is based off of linear weights work by Justin Merry, and you can read a FAQ about the system or more in-depth introductions to hitter points and pitcher points that he wrote on FanGraphs. If you just want the nitty-gritty, the point values per event are below.
