DRAFT DATE - In keeping with tradition, looking at the weekend prior to Week 1, which is Labor Day weekend this year. I am out on Friday, so would be looking at Saturday 9/31, Sunday 9/1, or Monday 9/2. I'm pretty flexible for any of those, but chime in with dates that DONT work for you, and we'll work back from there.

agree with the sentiments here... it's really not about the money (have you ever calculated your "hourly wage" that winnings would translate given how much time you put in? it's laughable) it's about the GLORY of victory... happy to send my refund to some winners, and would certainly like to see this league continue... it's a bad taste in our mouth from this year, but I've been using ottoneu for a decade and I don't get the impression niv is out to screw anyone... just a series of unfortunate events this year

So the refunds have been there the whole time, but I (and I assume nobody else here) did not know that. I also did not know that two teams had not paid as I wasn't really checking on payments in week 10. So, at the core that's on me for not checking, but also god what a shit system.

Really disappointed in this. Did they only issue the refund to everyone after you brought this up? If his point was we should have address it during the season, then we should have been better notified that 2 teams had not paid. Or let us know that our league was in an invalid state, just like it does with our rosters when we're over the limits. While I know it's not about the money, I'm also happy to redirect that $30 refund to the winners. I would hate for this to be the end of the league given it's long history on Otto. But I would be open to moving to another platform if everyone is on board. Selfishly, I am also having my best fantasy basketball year ever in Mayhem's basketball league!

Mayhem, I would gladly send my refund to the winner. at least try to make it right. as far as the league is concerned I would like to see it continue on. hopefully this screwup on Niv's part doesn't drive you away from the league. I have to say I think this decision by niv was foolish. not sure how to make people pay when you couldn't get a pay system up and running in time for league start. I would hope that all in the league would do what is right and make sure those who deserve to be paid for this year are. let me know how and I will send my refund where ever.

It seems that he’s upset that (probably) a lot of people did not pay for the season- I’m not sure what he really expected given all the payment issues, and I don’t see how he can expect the users that paid to bear the punishment for that, but so be it.

Final word from Niv - "If you had 12 teams draft but 2 of them bailed out, your issue should be with the 2 people who refused to pay for the service they were given for free for 9 weeks."... I'm done with this for now, I'll decide late whether I'll keep the league going or not.

He keeps saying we didn't fill the league, but 12 teams drafted and played 9 weeks. So we were supposed to recruit 2 people to join a league in week 10 and pay $50 for less than half a season. Very unlikely even if we tried in my opinion.

No worries - not your fault and you should not have been responsible for collecting those payouts as I’d attribute it to the sites payment issues…don’t agree with that decision from Niv.

All of you should have a $30 refund in the prize payout link. No prizes will be distributed for winners this year because we did not field a full league. This is my fault, as I did not make sure the two guys paid. I'll give myself a little slack in that the payment date was 1/3 into the season, post draft, and the payment system was a disaster. If I would have known all this I could have just bought the two teams myself. Either way, sorry to Bay Area and Gurley. For everybody else, you get $30 back. I'm not sure if I'll continue to do the league anymore. TBD

Bay Area and Gurley, what's your payout look like for your the year? I'm only getting a $30 refund because we had two guys flake out and not pay in November. STRONGLY WORDED MESSAGE has been sent to Niv. If this stands I'm not sure league will continue. Over 5k paid in over the last 9 years. Ridiculous.
