• It's August 30, so you can now set your lineup for Week 1's games. I encourage you all to set up your first lineup, check any injury news, and all in all take stock of what you actually have. It's funny to view a roster and think, "That's alright," but then you plug in your guys for the opening round and think, "Oh. Okay. Well, let's try it for a couple weeks...."

• Thank you, everyone! Great draft. You can set your lineups starting August 30 (once IRL teams pretty much set their rosters). Season kicks off Thursday, September 5. Good luck to all! And remember: We will try the consolation bracket this season to give the non-playoff teams some bragging rights.

• The draft is now scheduled for 9:30 pm EDT on August 26. (We have one manager who needs the additional 30 minutes to ensure another draft is over in time.) I don't expect we will need to go even 90 minutes this year, since we don't have to build full rosters this time around. Half of the league needs 6 or fewer players to reach a full roster and the other half ranges no deeper than 12 needed for a full roster. Thank you, everyone!

• OKAY! Please offer the general windows in which you CAN be available for our league draft. It will be much quicker than last season when we had to build out all the teams from scratch. SEE THE GOOGLE FORM LINK BELOW. Please include even the windows you grudgingly will accept so we can a true idea of when people can be available. • NOTE FOR ALL: Since Pepe Silvia has taken over an abandoned team after the Keeper Deadline, he will have the right to make some penalty-free cuts to move his team into compliance ahead of the draft.
  
  By Ottoneu rules, though, if the rest of us who have already had this option now try to make cuts, we will incur standard salary penalties (if the system allows the cuts at all). So please don't get fidgety with that CUT button unless you are Pepe Silvia! (Thank you for joining, Pepe!)

  Season is now officially around the corner!
  In another one of my leagues, we had 3 managers disappear. Same setup as this one: $50, super flex, 0.5PPR.
  One of the rosters came in 2nd last year and is pretty strong while the other two were middle of the pack.
  If anyone is interested in joining another league, pls let me know I'll try to send you rosters

• REMINDER: It's the Keeper Deadline day! Hand out pink slips to your overpriced or outright unwanted personnel. We will figure out a draft date soon enough. Regular season begins Thursday, September 5, so we should target a late August or very early September draft date. That will give us time to take into account preseason injuries and breakouts.

• Thanks for the welcome! Glad to be a part of the group, I've done dynasty/cap and IDP football for over 15 years but this is my first ottoneu league so I will have to see the learning curve on values. I see the past results that went with the team- but they may not guarantee future returns as we say in my business. Had to chop some dead wood! Looking forward to a great season with you all, and remaking this into a championship winner!!!

• Welcome, SONICIQS! Feel free to update the team name Definitely Not Tim. Thank you for joining the league! Keeper Deadline is July 31. Tim built a very competitive team last season so you have a lot of solid pieces to take over. He missed the playoffs by only one game to King of the North ... who went on to win the title from the wild card position. This is a great group to be part of. Cheers!
