• I see that EZ and Luda satisfied each other with an alternative deal, but for the record, I think their back-up plan/solution was fine and neither would have gained an advantage over the rest of the league. Interested to hear if anyone can poke holes in it, though. Would be nice if the site just allowed for the trading of cap space before the season started.

• Greetings, dearest leaguemates!
  
  The Erogenous Zone and I have agreed on a trade with a caveat that the league doesn't appear to allow. Wanted to post it to you all so we are above board and not ruffle any feathers.
  
  After weeks of extremely tense negotiations, the agreed-upon trade is myself receiving DJ Moore ($32) and EZ receiving David Montgomery ($47) AND $5 of cap space. Unfortunately, Otto doesn't allow trading cap space until the season starts. I'm not sure why, considering the $400 used in the draft is the same $400 used throughout the season.
  
  Anyway, EZ have come up with a backup plan:
  1) We will execute the Moore-Montgomery trade now, with only the players included.
  2) During the draft, we will draft each other's kickers or other $1 guys of equal value.
  3) We will trade kickers or other $1 guys post-draft. At that time, I will send him the $5 in cap room.
  
  Does anyone object to this plan? If so, that's fine, we will come up with something else. But we thought this was the easiest and most honorable option!

• I support vetoing the Burks/Cooks trade. It’s clear from the note that came with the trade that SWM meant to decline. I don’t think this is a team vote for veto league right? I didn’t see a way to review pending trades and vote.

• If we are set on finding a new owner, I'd suggest doing so sooner rather than later. They may want a hand in the arbitration process and seeing how that works -- this will be my first go through too. But they may also want to start looking over their inherited roster and strategizing.

• I'm on board with removing Burlington from the league. Is everyone else planning on playing next season? The schedules are generated by Ottoneu but I can make sure to check them for balance going into next season, that isn't really an issue we've had in the past.

• One hundred percent agree to booting Burlington. For a $100 buy-in, I expect people to set their lineups throughout the season, even if they don’t have a shot at the playoffs.
  
  Not setting it for the entire year is certainly worthy of the axe.

  Can we agree to boot Burlington from the league? I don’t think they fielded a proper lineup for much if any of the season. I mean, is Fitzpatrick still their QB? It’s not really fair to have someone drop in and out of fielding a competitive lineup.
  
  (As an aside, I somehow didn’t have the pleasure of playing Burlington once this season while some teams played them twice. Maybe the commissioner can make sure the schedules are as balanced as possible next season?)
  
  And finally, I was going to bring up this last point at the beginning of the season but I ultimately thought it best to let it rest. Now in light of this season, I think we should update that amazing trade from 2020 where Burlington explained how they wanted to build for the future by trading away two bonafide starters (including Aaron Jones (!), and both kept by the other team) in exchange for a pupu platter of JAGs (Just A Guy) of which they kept one. Not saying the trade wasn’t in good faith, but it almost swung the league so they could do what exactly?
