• Off topic, but to answer an earlier question - Confused, yes, there are points in the season where some teams play the same team two weeks in a row. Common across all three leagues I'm in on here.

• It's not an elegant solution and I know some of you may not be happy with it, but games against the two un-owned teams will not count and the standings will be reset without those games at the end of the season. We'll make the best of what we have through the rest of this season, and we can fix it or shut it down this offseason. It's a shame we've had problems with these two teams because otherwise I thought we had a great first season and a pretty good offseason.

• I just emailed Niv to see if there's a way to re-process the standings at EOS to eliminate games against the empty teams, we'll see what he says. Agree though that this league is probably dead though, but I blame the deficiencies of the site as much my efforts. Happy to turn over commish powers or add co-commish powers to anyone that wants to assist in getting it filled.

• Your thoughts are valid - I've been trying to find replacement owners or work with Niv for an alternative, but this certainly hasn't been my #1 priority. I honestly thought the teams were filled going into the draft, and once again between the draft and the season starting. This site is absolutely terrible from a perspective of the commish tools giving me much ability to do anything about it. No ability to set lineups or fill rosters or anything like that. I can remove owners who've claimed the teams and done nothing with them, but there isn't much help in getting spots filled, and I don't think at this point without being able to give a huge discount I'll be able to.

• With the exception of one suggestion to fill thisleague, I've remained silent. I really don't want to comeacross in a rude manner, but I believe this is a near dead league.
  I don't mind starting off 2-0 (played the two abandoned teams first two weeks), but I personally think not filling a league should automatically suspend a league or at least allow the commish to put in the best players for those teams to at least have lineups.
  I think our owners are very good, but with the lack of communication, I'm not sure how this league will do next season.
  Seems like their has been some absent decision making here.

• Sorry for not responding before now. My work schedule is pretty crazy with hours, so it's tough for me to say which days I CANNOT draft. I will say that Friday evenings and most Saturdays work. West Coast time here.

• One last thing - we do have a league slack page, although up to this point it hasn't really been utilized. I know this essage board sucks for the most part, so anyone wants in to the slack page let me know, would be good to see it used more this season. Also open to other ideas, like a Facebook group or another site. Let me know what you all think.

• I think this is the fairest way to allow the new owners to make some moves without negatively impacting existing owners' plans.

• Hey all, quick update. We have new owners in a few teams and league now appears to be completely full (although two owners still haven't renewed their teams, which needs to be rectified ASAP). In order to ensure competitive balance for the new owners and everyone else, I am extending the cut and trade deadline to 7/31 for the entire league. If you want to make any cuts, email them to me and I'll push them through via commish tools. If you want to make any trades, both owners need to email me. Once I receive the email, I'll post the deal on the message board and email the league for comment. Because this is the offseason, the veto threshold will be low - four vetos will kill any deal, but if you veto we should probably hear a good explanation.

I have several cuts that I'm waiting until the deadline to make to evaluate the available pool of talent/$. I'm concerned if we have a large number of absent owners (judging by lack of responses this offseason, I suspect we have several) that we can't make an adequate assessment of available talent. In fairness to returning owners, I propose the following. Everyone makes their cuts as expected by June 30th. But if we have 4 or more owners without cuts, then all other owners are allowed to make up to two more penalty-free cuts after the new owners make their cuts. Thoughts?

• I've reached out to the 4 owners who haven't made cuts or posted on the board yet this year to confirm that are in for 2017 - I'm pretty sure Justin (Gridiron Geeks) is just waiting to the deadline for cuts, not sure about other three. If we need to add ANY more owners this season after the deadline I'll allow people to make additional cuts via the commish tools after the new owners cuts are made. Hopefully we can get activity level for this league increased this season so we don't have to question who is in and who is not going into next season.

• I'm fine with that, but I don't think the lack of activity/responses is as drastic as you make it seem. Since the increases were applied March 1, 8 of the 12 owners have made cuts to their rosters. I'd argue that some owners are simply waiting for owners with significant overages above the salary cap to get back in the box. Right now 5 owners with salaries over $55 above the cap. The pool of talent/$ will be hard/impossible to assess if those owners don't make some decisions.
