• I've already turned the setting on, so we'll have it for this season. If we want an added incentive for that bracket, it would need to be discussed. Currently it's just a feature for teams that want to continue playing for pride at the end of the season.

• As an aside, there is a new option for a consolation bracket. I've turned the option on so the teams not making the playoffs will have their own bracket. Not sure if this season or the future we want to add some sort of incentive for this, but it's out there. Nothing happens if you choose to check out once you miss the playoffs.

Please make sure to be logged on and ready to go- you need to nominate a player regardless if you intend to bid on that player or it will lock you out of the draft. We can get you back in, just makes it a lot easier to have some nominees lined up. We'll go over the process for any newbies. You can access the draft room in the link at the top of the screen, just below where it says league/team name/players/etc.

For now make the assumption that the draft will be 8pm EST- we can adjust the draft time around that window as needed to accommodate any scheduling conflicts or west coast folks.   Also- a reminder that August 1st is the last day to renew your team if you haven't done so already. Teams not renewed after August 1st are then eligible to be grabbed by anyone. Make sure to get rosters compliant and dues renewed by the end of the month!

  All teams must be at or under $400 salary and 20 spots. Any cuts made after midnight will result in cap penalties for the balance of the 24-25 season. Trades can be accepted until that July 31 midnight cut off and will process as normal- but note that if someone in that trade is someone you plan to cut, cutting them will incur the penalty if it's after July 31. Finalize your trade block, get your cuts in, and please let us know if you plan on dropping out this season so we can fill the spots. We'll create a draft date/time form in early August to see what works best for everyone.

• **ARBITRATION IS OFFICIALLY OPEN**
  
  For those new to Ottoneu arbitration- arbitration is a necessary function of the salary leagues to ensure yearly competitive balance. You will need to assign at least $1-$8 to every team, but no player can receive more than $4 per team (capping $44 as the most a player can go up in one season). If you fail to allocate at least $1 to just one team, NONE of your allocations will go through. Make sure to hit the save button at the bottom of each team! If anyone has any questions on arbitration or how to do it, feel free to message or post on here.

  Next step is Arbitration- this begins Feb 15 so there is time before that. For those who are new to Ottoneu- you are giving a set amount of money to add to players on another team. Rules are at below link at the bottom if you need further info- I'll send reminders out when we get to that point. Once arbitration is done, then trading and drops will be allowed.

  REMINDER- pick a player from your team to "trade" when you make your pick. So if you pick Tyler Bass off my team (a great kicker and a steal of deal with all that surplus), also pick someone from your team to swap with. This is being done so roster limits stay balanced.
