Apologies for being a jerk on the message board earlier this year. With the benefit of hindsight, I see why the trade could upset people, and I was in the wrong for protesting the veto. Good luck to all in future seasons of the league!

It's my opinion that vetoing isn't a matter of "fair" or "unfair", because then you get into subjective evaluations, e.g., how good of a prospect is Travis Etienne? Or, does Leonard Fournette at $84 have any value to an 0-7 team besides what he can be traded for? (Maybe he does, I'm really not sure). Anyway, I've always played fantasy sports with the understanding that veto power exists to prevent collusion and sabotage - nothing else. Upon further review, I shouldn't have gotten annoyed that people in this league view it differently. It's your right to play fantasy however you want to play it, including using veto for subjective judgements (most of the league) or sheer pursuit of personal interest (Light, Camera, Hopkins). Anyway, now I can sell off all my prospects for veterans, because I know I don't want to play in this league beyond 2019. I still have Hollywood, Slayton, and Harry if anyone is interested. Good luck next year!

Never said I was a "pro". Doing some writing work for a website doesn't make someone a "pro" fantasy football player. 2 Black Eyes and Hopkins can go shove it; they clearly were just upset because the trade hurt their chances to win the league....they admitted as much.

I appreciate the more reasonable feedback from Boomer and Brooklyn. I agree that it's weird the other guy basically disappeared after agreeing to the trade. It made sense for him to trade Fournette and Adams to a contender in exchange for prospect, but the price he settled for was low....in fact, I would've given up more if he had merely asked for it instead of accepting my initial offer.

I think it's his right to accept a package of prospects for his star players, but yes, the fact that he hasn't responded to communication since that point does make me wonder if he was really trying to build for the future or just making an "eh, what the hell" trade, because he's done playing in this league anyway (which is a passive form of sabotaging the competitive nature of the league).

Having said all that, it's become clear to me that a few guys in this league intend to veto based on personal interest, rather than avoiding collusion. Veto is not intended to "maintain the balance" of the league. It's intended to prevent against collusion, or sabotage. I still believe this was a misuse of veto power, but I'm fine with the discussion when it's brought up as a discussion, rather than some petulant manbabies threatening to have their children send me mean tweets (LOL, WUT?).

Hey guys, sorry I was kind of off the grid for the whole weekend. This is a ton to read thru, but glad that trade got vetoed. I obviously understand how dynasty trades work, but completely throwing off the balance of a league is when I tend to think a veto is necessary. Lights, Camera, Incel, I understand you're a "pro", but maybe it means something if 10 out of 11 people think it's an unfair trade.
