Woah! 79pt'er from Bobby Portis?! That should do it.

this week is beyond stupid...regardless, I think they added some games to Sunday's schedule, so just check your lineups
CGT at Dec 14, 2024 7:40 PM -
or just get rid of H2H and have a season long option or a season long option with playoffs, but I like your idea. That being said, it takes one person setting a lineup to screw everything up and no way for me to fix it. I have Kolek, Dillon Jones and Moses Moody whom have played about 18 minutes total between the 3 of them in their last 6 games combined.
CGT at Dec 9, 2024 8:33 PM -
Sorry, meant to start that with, “You know…”
McHale’s Navy Beans at Dec 9, 2024 8:21 PM -
You, I wish I had proposed this earlier, but a couple of games have already counted. I was going to ask about every team sitting everyone to blank the week.
McHale’s Navy Beans at Dec 9, 2024 8:21 PM -
Something tells me I'm not going to get much out of the 5 games I have to start Aaron Nesmith, matkovic, and saric. Especially since none has played in a while. This week should just be a bye.
Brickowski for 3 at Dec 9, 2024 8:01 PM -
Playing everyone I have that is currently healthy nets me 24 games total
What a joke
CGT at Dec 9, 2024 12:01 PM -
The Pacers are not involved in the remaining IST this year so I didn't know what was happening, but this may need to be something that these leagues take into account for scheduling purposes. It's going to be a lean week.

Oh great, it’s the made-up trophy week. Good luck on coming close to game limits.

Saved by a Lebron DNP, happy I don't have to face Majerus for the next 7 weeks until Week 14.

Keegan Murray is having one of those seasons where when I start him he gets 16 pts, and when I bench him he gets 35 pts.

Doubt Schroder was going to put up a 55 or more but that was lame. Had him as probable earlier in the day and then questionable after the Clippers game started and had no one left to swap him out by that point (D. Jones put up a 40 and at least could have made Majerus sweat a little).
Majerus on a tear right now

Giannis sitting tonight, early gift to my opponents this week.
CGT at Nov 4, 2024 7:02 PM -
I responded to a ticket on the community pages with this. I'm curious if others see it as well:
I’m not sure where the best place to put this is. My league does multiple matchups per week and it’s going swimmingly. However, I notice that if I am on my lineup page and move forward to set my lineup for future dates, it gets a little confused. Normally, it will show your matchups for the week above your lineup. For the current week that behaves. For future weeks, it shows the first matchup twice so one of the actual matchup is left out.
This doesn’t actually affect anything as far as I can tell. When I went ahead to set my lineup early for the coming week, I initially thought the scheduler had done something stupid. The other schedule pages show the proper matchups, it’s just in the future lineups where it causes confusion. So, it isn’t causing any problems, but it does look like whatever function is pulling in matchups for the lineup page isn’t getting populated properly.
21 Andre Ingrams at Nov 4, 2024 12:44 PM -
Despite my complaining, I do generally prefer more games to play. I much prefer H2H to season-long points. A little variability makes things more interesting. Somebody generally runs away with points and then the rest of the season isn't all that interesting. Give folks a chance to load up for a playoff matchup and things get fun.
21 Andre Ingrams at Nov 1, 2024 11:58 AM -
Same here. It's a lot harder to come back in this league with one matchup a week. Thus the new setup leads to much better league parity and keeps people more involved throughout the season. The best teams will obviously still triumph in the end!

BILL WALTON'S SPORTSBONG 🥀 at Oct 31, 2024 10:41 PM -
actually, looks like every 7 weeks is the magic number. So you play a team every other week either twice or three times total and then in 7 weeks play them again a few more times. And it's offset for each team you play...so for example, these are the weeks I play every one.

I did look at the schedule and unsurprisingly it's rather whacked...ultimately you play each team 5 or 6 times (60 matchups total). When you play them is rather random...I get Walton and Mike Gorman again next week after playing them in Week 1. Seems to go between playing a team every other week and then not again in 8-10 weeks. ~shrug~
CGT at Oct 31, 2024 2:08 PM -
options were 1 or 3 a week, the more teams we play a week, the more likely overall records will match overall point totals. But it'll take some time to work itself out. Someone else mentioned it last year, I presented it as an option and the people voted. Myself, I'm all for a full points season and getting rid of H2H matchups and playoffs myself and just playing a full season with 82 game limits per position (multiply as needed for G, F, UTIL). H2H only makes logical sense in fantasy football when every player has 1 game a week. Too many schedule variances and injury management and end of year shenanigans for H2H, but this is the best we can do for now. But happy to vote again in the offseason if people prefer just one matchup a week.
CGT at Oct 31, 2024 1:03 PM -
You've already got 3 wins. Quit whining. How did we settle on 3 games a week? I probably voted for it, but why not just play every team every week at that point? I like that it gives you more games, but it also increases the odds that you happen to be playing the highest scoring team in any given week. FYI, I will be happy with exactly none of your scheduling decisions.

Helluva comeback by the CGT crew to take 3 victories. I can't ever recall beating 21AI in a matchup before either.

Is Jones & Jones a new owner? I honestly don't know most of you besides by your team name and that one is new. Maybe someone left us without letting us know.
If so, they get penalty-free cuts for 24-48 hours or something like that after picking up a team.

I do not have an explanation for that one. I'll ask Niv.

CGT at Oct 24, 2024 1:47 AM -
The weekly lineup is definitely the way to go. They've changed this over the last few years. It used to be that you could only set 3 guards per day, 2 utils and so on. At some point, they modified it so that you can play all your guards in one day if you wanted to. With the old method, it sometimes sucked if you had a couple late scratches because suddenly you just had a G/F slot or something that you couldn't fill before the end of the week. Nowadays, I do one pass where I set all the guys I want to have play that week. Then, I go back through and shuffle things around so that I get all my G,F,C games out of the way early and leave myself flexibility later in the week if you have to cram in makeup games. The tools have gotten better every season I would say.
21 Andre Ingrams at Oct 23, 2024 5:27 PM -
Thanks guys, just a different look and setup from what I'm used to.
Mike Gorman's Retirees at Oct 23, 2024 6:09 AM -
You get 30 games per week, how you fill them is up to you with the following stipulations.
9 G, 6 F, 3 G/F, 3 F/C, 3 C, 6 UTIL
Most NBA teams play 3 games a week but not always, sometimes 2, sometimes 4 and of course guys getting days off and injuries. I find it best to use up your main positions early in the week best you can and save anyone you have left for the utilty and hybrid positions as they're easier to fill if someone is a late scratch but you do you. And yes, you can conceivably play 9 G’s in one night if you have them.
CGT at Oct 22, 2024 11:38 PM -
Try using the weekly view. I think you can technically play as many players on a given night as you want -- your limits are only weekly.
Walden Two at Oct 22, 2024 9:26 PM -
My roster page is showing 9 guard positions playable? Not sure what I'm looking at.
Mike Gorman's Retirees at Oct 22, 2024 8:47 PM -
I could see that, probably should have put Rockets in Tier 3 honestly. They could easily bypass Warriors and an injured Clippers team if things break right for them and wrong for the others.

The West is so stacked. But don't sleep on the Rockets. They'll make the play in and come out of it alive. They will die immediately after though. Magic get a 4 seed in the east. Celtics repeat.

Not sure how 6-team playoff schedule works, presuming top 2 get a bye but need to look it up.

I didn't realize we were playing multiple matchups. Is that every week? I'm excited to get three times as much fantasy basketball.
21 Andre Ingrams at Oct 22, 2024 12:11 PM -
Just a reminder of the rule changes, you have 3 matchups a week now and just one division, top 6 teams make the playoffs. You set one lineup to face all 3 teams and you can go 3-0, 2-1, 1-2 or 0-3 for the week.
