• Hey all,
  I just accidentally accepted an offer instead of rejecting it for D'Aaron Fox. I wanted to show full transparency here because I asked to have it reversed. I even sent a message in my trade decision about the rejection if we need proof. If there is massive opposition to this please let me know. I literally just clicked accept instead of reject on my phone.

• Hey everyone! If you had another owner in mind for this team, I've got no problem giving the team up to them. If not, happy to take over. If I'm keeping it, I'm a long-time Otto player but just got into basketball last year. I'm probably not going to be doing much with the team this holiday weekend, but I will be looking to sell and try to get younger and cheaper. Looking forward to it!

• I sent Bullets another round of messages a couple days ago and never got a response, so unless someone objects, I'm going to mark his team as abandoned tomorrow. The fact that he never renewed his team makes me assume he decided to walk away for some reason. If anyone knows a fantasy player who would be interested in taking over, let me know!

• Hey everyone, just an FYI - I've been sending Bullets Forever emails and DMs here on Ottoneu, trying to confirm that he still plans to be part of the league. I could see leading up to Nov 7 that he hasn't renewed. But I haven't gotten a response, although I can see he's checked the league a couple times this week. Will probably give him another week or so - don't want to prematurely boot him if he's just on vacation or busy at work. But at the same time, isn't good for the league if one team isn't participating. For now, just wanted to let you guys know I'm on it.

• Ottoneu is now accepting payment. In order to pay for your team, go to the Ottoneu home page (https://ottoneu.fangraphs.com/userdashboard), scroll down to your team and click the "Extend Now" button along the right side of the screen.
  
  Also, please remember to set your lineup for Week 1. Feel free to message me if you have any questions about how that works.
  One reminder for our returning players - this year there's no daily positional cap. So whereas last year you could only play 3 players at Guard per day, this year you could theoretically play all 9 of your Guard games on the same day if you wanted.

  Niv (the founder of Ottoneu) has recently switched payment providers, and as of now it still isn't possible to pay for the upcoming season. I'm assuming that will be corrected soon and will send another email once that's possible.

• It's finally time to start thinking about fantasy basketball! A couple notes below:
  
  -Every team has to be renewed by September 1. If you don't renew your team before then, Ottoneu will remove you as owner! If you're not planning to return this year, please let me know ASAP so we can find a replacement.
  
  -Sep 1 is also the cut deadline. You need to make all your cuts and trades by then.
  
  -Let's set a draft date. I put it as Sun Oct 22 at 8pm est for now - that's the Sunday before the season starts. Please post in the message board if that works for you. If someone has a conflict, I can make a Google form to find a day that's good for everyone. Thanks!

• While I like the fact that we played everyone twice, I'm in full support of ending two weeks earlier to avoid your best players sitting when it matters most.

• Fyi, just saw Niv posted a couple changes are coming to the league next year:
  
  "Next season, you should expect to see no daily caps, i.e. the daily limitation of 3 G, 2 F, 1 C, 1 G/F, 1 F/C, 2 Util in your lineup. The weekly caps will remain in place."
  
  "We tried a 22-week fully balanced regular season for 2 years now, and the pain of having the semifinals and finals come during the height of players being rested for the playoffs is at this point abundantly clear. In 2023-24, we’ll be moving to an unbalanced 20-week regular season. The regular season will end in March rather than April."
  
  Also, North of 60's team is now abandoned. If you have a suggestion for a new owner, let me know. Enjoy the playoffs (go Celtics!)

• Just want to confirm for end of season transactions- if you cut a player on Sunday, they are not eligible to be picked up off waivers or auction. Is that correct? A player cut today (Friday) or Saturday can be claimed, since it will process by Sunday.

• I believe that's correct- we wanted all rosters to be legal at the end of our Championship game (since there is a week between the end of our playoffs and the season date). The main issue was that folks were dropping overpriced stars once the playoffs were over and it became giant discounts on players all over the place. I may be reading it wrong from last year's comments (April 12, 2022 for those that want to look back), but no transactions/auctions go through after our championship game, which is what you have.

• Quick reminder on some rules we established last year: We decided no team can make roster moves after April 2 (the last day of the championship). That means the last auctions have to be initiated by Friday, March 31. We also determined that you have to make your roster legal at the end of season, so if you start an auction Mar 31 and acquire the player on Apr 2, then you have to make offsetting cuts until your roster is legal. (Not sure if we got into this detail, but I assume any players cut that Sunday aren't eligible to be claimed, since the transaction wouldn't be processed until Monday April 3, after our deadline). Please let me know if anyone has questions or remembers certain rules differently. Good luck to everyone down the stretch!
