I'll zag - I'm ever so slightly pro-cup. I've felt the very mild jolt of excitement it injects into the doldrums of this part of the schedule. The games do seem to end up being good pretty often. I don't know how objective that is but the games FEEL better to me than average November/December games of the past. And I actually love the courts. That's my favorite part.

The only IRL conversations I've had about the in-season tourney have been about the disgusting court designs. I purposefully don't watch the games. I kind of hope it's cancelled lol. No disrespect to anyone does enjoy it.

I was watching a game on ESPN two or three weeks ago and the broadcast team was going all-in on trying to make the Emirates NBA Cup™ sound exciting. It was kind of sad. I'm not sure if anyone here cares, but I don't think I've talked to any basketball fans IRL who care about the tournament. It seems like most of the players don't even care about it.
