Sounds good. Jamie Moyer's "Fastball" is up

I'd say it's been good picks by all so far. Next couple rounds could be interesting.

I also had Isan Diaz all queued up and ready to go. Instead, I'll so with Matt Manning, RHP, DET.

It's a bird...it's a plane...Isan Diaz of the Milwaukee Brewers.
Also, on the low odds that it comes back around to me tomorrow, I won't have internet access between today around 5pm eastern to tomorrow around 7pm eastern. So if we could pause my time if it comes around, would be much appreciated.

Honeywell is on whos on first

I have a list and have also been tracking the draft on Excel. Opinions can vary widely on prospects in general before accounting for strategy where some will concentrate on guys multiple years away and others will prioritize players closer to being ready. In that way it is a lot tougher than a normal draft where at least you have good idea which players will be available when. I never know if guy I take was near top of other's lists or could've waited until 5th round. Oh, well.

I agree with you there. There are a couple that I was really debating on taking when I took Moniak that, if they fall to the 3rd Round, I would be ecstatic to grab. However, I'm not anticipating that to happen.
-
I'm just happy that we don't all agree. There were guys that I expected to be 2nd, 3rd and 4th round picks already taken, and others widely available.
-
I still have like 12 or so names left on the initial list that I made...so it'll be good for at least my next pick.
-
I just scanned the free agent minor leagues and wrote down some names, but I only got to about 43 and so I hope the list lasts the five rounds--otherwise I may have to look at the suggestions.

I originally planned to edit it and call attention to it as sort of a "suggestions" list, but again I didn't get very far. It's by no means comprehensive, and there are probably still lots of guys on there who aren't eligible for one reason or another. It might be helpful if you have no idea who you should draft next, but otherwise needs to be taken with a big grain of salt.

I guess it just illustrates the volatility of the prospect world--it is mostly a crapshoot at the best of times.

I wouldn't put much stock in that list-the template was relatively old (I'm guessing it was originally populated prior to the June 2016 draft). I had actually started editing it and added some names to it (including Moniak) but i didnt get very far. The list is on the first tab of the draft spreadsheet, scroll a bit to the right.

On the subject of the template for the MiLB draft, I am very surprised at some of the names that weren't already entered in: Mejia, Moniak, Keller, etc. I will be interested to see what the final percentage is of non-entered picks.
