As long as its after 8 on March 18, I'm good.
-
That'll be perfect. Now I just need to remember to not drink all day prior to it lol.
-
Let's make it official, then: the auction will be Saturday March 18th. If anyone definitely can't do that date let us know. Does 8:30 or 9pm EST work? I think in years past the auction has run 3-4 hours.

I am good for March 18.
-
An advantage of Feb date is that trading activity can resume sooner, but either 18th works for me.
-
I'll second Wrecking Ball's sentiments. Would prefer March date, but will defer to the majority rule.

I'd prefer March, closer to the start of the season.
-
Either date work for me. About how long would you expect an auction to take?
-
Both months work for me on the 18th.

I was thinking March, but February would work if the group thinks 2-3 weeks time (the 18th or 25th) is enough time
-
Feb or March? Either works.
-
Going back to the draft date discussion, what about Saturday the 18th at around 9pm EST? We could do earlier, but I know that some said later in the is better...
-
Sounds good. Streets is up whenever he gets internet access tomorrow
-
Oh... now we need to pause for like 24 hours for Streets to get back online :(
-
Alright, I'll kick off Round 4 with my first pitcher of this, Braxton Garrett
-
Wow... good thing I'm getting up early in the morning (my time) to look after the toddler
-
Ok I'll take Christian Arroyo, SF. Round 4!

Okay, I swear I am not a Braves fan, but here is my third pick being another Braves prospect: Austin Riley. It's just how the cards have fell.

There is nothing worse in the summer than seeing the forecast say it's 85 outside, but the heat index is 100+.
-
we just blew through a full round of picks in under 12 hours
-
You guys definitely get hotter in the summer. Our winters are fairly similar, but you might be slightly colder because of the wind depending on if you live in the country or not... The humidity in the summer is truly the worst part. It can be 85 and you think it's going to be nice, but the humidity makes it quite hot
-
Yeah...you're not missing anything if you never visit here. Though, we surely do experience all four seasons...our summers get up over 100 with the humidity. I hate living here for about 6 months of the year lol.
-
It is really hard to describe but there are definitely days where it is 0 and it feels colder than -15
-
Sounds good. Homestead Grays is up! Great job everyone!
-
Actually, early in the draft I was wondering where you guys were from. After seeing 2 Yankees and a Red Sox (Sock?) go in first 5 selections it felt very familiar as I live in upstate NY and experience the NYY, BOS bias in all my drafts each spring. Didn't know if that was just a coincidence here.

My mother-in-law lives in PA and I would take 100 in California over 85 in PA--I don't like to swim through the air.

negative WHAT? No thanks! All I know of Iowa is the band Slipknot... that's about it. Anyway, I pick James Kaprelian (https://ottoneu.fangraphs.com/99/playercard?id=23570)
-
This sounds like the inverse conversation I had with my brother when he lived in Phoenix. Sure, it's 115. But it's a dry heat, right?!

I live in east central Iowa, about 4ish hours away from Minneapolis. And yes, windchill literally and figuratively blows.
-
But either way, windchill blows. ;)

But the question is this: is it a dry cold or a damp cold? I have been in -40 that was dry air and it was less cold feeling, bundled up of course, than -25 in damp air. It is crazy how the humidity (or whatever it is) makes such a difference.

-30 is not fun though... Just going outside makes you feel like an ice cube!
-
Where in Iowa do you live? (You don't have to share if you don't want too...) I go to college in St. Paul, Minnesota and we haven't had that cold this winter, but have definitely had that in the past.
-
There were a couple weeks in December and January that were brutal here in Iowa...we had -30 degree wind chills to go along with it being below 0 outside.
-
Thought about Bobby Bradley just to continue my all-Cleveland Indians trend, but decided to go against the grain... I completely understand with the cold! It was 5 degrees while I was walking to class this morning. It has been a pretty mild winter though. Its been in the 20s a couple of days this past week and most people are walking around in a sweatshirt and some are in just a t-shirt!
-
I am going to take Kolby Allard. Ice Cold is up!
-
I'm pleasantly surprised with how quickly it's moving. And just doing this is getting me pumped for the auction.
-
And with the selection of Grant Holmes we are half way home in this draft.

I'll go with SP Grant Holmes

Man, I wish it was like 75 here. Instead it's about 25...it'll be 40 on Monday and that'll feel like a heat wave for this time of the year.
-
Also I would like to announce that I will be launching my 5MILB newsletter and up to the minute list of 5MILB eligible players for next year's 5MILB draft.
-
I am just testing the system but you guys seem to be on the ball
-
Bauers.... uh oh, back to the drawing board for me. It barely gets to 5C here Chris... let alone 5F. It'll be 75-80F today
