A heads up, the Ottoneu folks say for the best possible draft experience, make sure you are using the latest version of Google Chrome or Mozilla Firefox. So, you might want to check your browser's prior to Saturday evening.

Looks like we are holding the draft time of 6p CT (7p ET) this Saturday night (24th). Given that this format is brand new to all of us, I encourage everyone to look over the rules a few times in advance - both for the draft and for the in-season and post-season considerations. And be ready for a pretty long evening. Right now I'm leaning towards a 10 minute break every hour. Hope that sounds right to everyone, if not, let me know. More to come later in the week.

I can’t committ to anything before 5:00 pm CST on 3/24.

I work on Saturday mornings (during tax season) and I am also a west coaster. I would vote for anytime after 12:30. But I also am not going to be the one vote that stops us, so if everyone wants to be 11, then ill figure it out.

I would for yes for 11 am CST. 10 am is a bit early for me on the West Coast.
-
I vote for morning on the 24th. That would give us all morning and afternoon to complete the draft. I propose 10 a.m. CST. Can we have a vote?

If you haven't seen this video...here's a link to a video showing the draft process

Closing the draft time post out (ran out of characters in my last one) - our draft is Sat Mar 24 at 7p ET (6p CT). We can move the start time (not date), but only if 100% of our members agree. Otherwise, we should hold the original time. So, if you have a proposed change in start time please offer it up and the owners can vote.

Another item, regarding draft time. Yes, it will likely be a long draft...looks like the first year in this format always is. That said, we can greatly influence the draft length by being ready draft night. Read the rules on the draft, it's pretty interesting stuff. A nominated player has 15 seconds to finalize. If a higher bid comes in during the 15 seconds then the clock resets to 15 until bids expire. Also, each team is not required to draft to 40 players.

Folks, we are up to 9 owners in the league so I have taken it back private. Please get your pending owners signed up asap. We want to make sure we fill the league and hopefully someone that has wanted in doesn't end up locked out.

I'm flexible on the time or date. Never been through one but reading some of the boards suggest the first draft could take 7-8 hrs total.
-
Are we dead set on the start time? That seems kinda late if we're going to have a long draft. I also have a commitment until about 7 CST. It's a paying gig, so I'd rather not back out of it. I feel like earlier in the day would be better so we're not going super late at night anyway. Thoughts?
-
So how long do we think the draft going to take since it is a 40man auction? 8hrs?

Hi. Thanks for the invite. I'm a guy in my mid-50's who is finally an empty-nester and will finally have time to do some Roto. Looking forward to building a winning team (although that could take a few years!)

Welcome Casey, and Bart, and Jonathan, and Paul. Casey, we are all brand new to this format and hopefully everyone will stay very active. For now, we all need to keep working on recruits. Let's get the league filled with people we know (and hopefully like) and that will be good owners. We all have folks pending to join so let's keep it moving - draft is in 13 days.

Hi Guys, thanks for the invite. I am going to try to be very active, so just let me know if I need to chill out a little as the year goes on.
