  • Thank you to everyone who has already joined the draft room on Couch Managers. We still have 5 teams yet to join. If the remaining managers could all do this today (takes ~2 minutes), it would be much appreciated, as late tonight / early morning tomorrow is my best window this weekend to port over all the rosters.

  • If Dukes can finalize cuts in short order and everyone can sign up on the site, I'll get rosters imported over the weekend and then I'd suggest we get started with the draft next Wednesday 2/19 (giving everyone a little breather to get caught up again post the long weekend before we get started). Should probably take 1-2 weeks to complete the draft. Any questions or concerns on any of this, let me know.

  • I think there is also some noise around SP/RP eligibility. So to avoid issues, I set the standard lineup in the draft room to show only 1 catcher position and 10 starting P positions (can be SP or RP). Please just keep the actual Ottoneu lineup settings in mind as you draft (i.e., 5 SPs, 5 RPs, option to fill a second catcher spot).

  • A couple notes on the setup. For the lineup settings, I've found in the past that if you are too prescriptive with the positions, you end up forcing people to make choices in the draft that they wouldn't have to in a live Ottoneu draft (for instance, if you list 2 catchers in the standard lineup, everyone will have to leave the draft with 2 catchers, but you might prefer to use limited draft spots on other positions and just add a second catcher in-season...
