Another thing to keep in mind is that those having a conflict on 2/24, 3/3 or 3/10 may end up spending most of their budget in the first day, and might not mind missing the second portion. Or they could have a ton of budget left and really need to participate. So we could table the discussion about Day 2 until after Day 1 is wrapped. Just a thought.
-
Basically any weekend is fine for me, I'm just a busy college student.
-
I'm good with 2/24 as long as we wrap up in time for my next auction at 4PM Eastern Time that day.
-
I would not be able to do 3/10. 2/24 & 3/3 work for me.
-
2/24 and 3/10 would work for me, but I will be out of town 3/3.
-
I should be able to make any of the days mentioned above work, so don't worry about me - just schedule the draft date(s) and I'll be there!
-
March 3 works and an easier form of communication would be much preferred.
-
March 3 works for me! Also, what do you guys think of opening up a Twitter DM for the league or a Slack channel or something for easier communication?
-
What about March 3rd? Two weeks after the first day.
-
I'm not available the next Saturday. Not sure what would happen if I couldn't attend for the second half.
-
Does anyone have a problem with resuming the draft the very next saturday at the same time of 1 pm EST? If not, that seems to be the simplest solution.
-
If we are doing the second half on another Saturday I do have another draft on the 25th at 5PM Eastern time, so I would need it to be either before or after that or on another Saturday.
-
Just to jump onto what Flying Squirrels said: you CAN pause a live draft and return to it at your leisure, so we just need to agree upon how long we want Day 1 to be (3-4 hours?) and when we will return to it. Source:

If we split it into 2, I would prefer to do it on a Saturday again. I coach college baseball and Saturday’s are our only day off.
-
I don't think you have to split the draft now, we can just go forward with the current date and then we can pause and we will be able to resume the draft on another day. At least I believe that's how it works.
-
@Schroedinger I just re-checked the settings, and it says that we're all set up for allocation. I'm not seeing a place to spread the draft out, but I'll keep poking around! I work on Sundays, so it may have to be another day later in the week.
-
Not to pester, but it seems like it still says the league it set to be a vote off system and I want to make sure it is properly switched to allocation before the draft date.
-
Agree, I read where they recommend doing a startup over 2 days.
-
I believe if you aren't doing playoffs it just has everyone in one division. Also I've heard a new auction can take 8-10 hours, do we want to split it into two days?
-
Does it require divisions? If there’s no playoffs and the system doesn’t require them, is there some benefit to having 2 divisions that I’m not thinking of, or would it better to have just one big division since there’s no playoffs?
-
From what I'm seeing so far, I have the league set to H2H (FanGraphs points) and allocation with no playoffs. Also, just a heads up, I believe that the draft time is set to the east coast for those of us that live elsewhere.
-
I prefer allocation, no playoffs

I like both allocation and playoffs, but I feel stronger that I like the allocation system much more than I care if we have playoffs. If I could only vote for one, I’d stick my neck out for allocations.
-
I think I would vote for allocation as well.
-
I think I’d prefer allocation
-
I like the concept of H2H minus a playoff. 17th works for a draft date. Is everyone settled on vote-off for arbitration? The allocation method seems a lot more balanced, but that's not a deal-breaker for me. Looking forward to the season!
-
Yeah I’d say not playoffs as well.
In general head to head will be more random but since this is my first and some others first ottoneu league I don’t think that’s a bad thing.
-
I think H2H sounds fun, but would vote against a playoff. I think the beauty of fantasy baseball is that it is a marathon and you have to remain dedicated and active all year to win. I think a playoff slightly takes that away by rewarding the team that is hot in September and not just the best team, but that is just my opinion.
-
H2H works for me
-
I’m perfectly fine with H2H
-
If I were voting, I’d vote H2H if for no other reason than to differentiate it from my other league.
-
I personally prefer normal points league, but if the consensus is to do head to head I'm down to try it out.
-
Just re-posted the invite this afternoon. Side note: are we all good with head-to-head scoring?
-
Have you reposted on the Facebook page yet? It would be nice to get the spots filled so we can draft on the 17th.
-
Draft info fellas?

You can totally invite one or two! I’m gonna re-post the link again on the FB page in a few days to catch any stragglers, but don’t want to be scrambling as draft day approaches either.

@Shoehei: Are you confident that we have a full 12 from the podcast, or can I open this up to a friend or two of mine who may be interested?
