Welcome Chinnu
-
Welcome!
-
Hey guys, Bakers Dozen decided not to return, so we have a new owner -- everyone welcome Chinnu!
-
But if OH NO wants the extra time I vote we keep it the way it is.
-
If anyone actually vetoed I would be in agreement with OH NO; but as it stands I guess I don't have a strong opinion either way.
-
Not sure about you guys, but i tend to be MORE busy during this time of the year and 48 hours seems fine. Patience grasshopper
-
Actually we already have a 24 hour waiting period?

Going to 24 hours makes sense to me.

Just to speed things along, especially during the season when folks want to turn the lineup over quickly after a trade. 48 hours just seems unnecessarily long to me. Happy to hear others’ thoughts.

For what reason?

Would anyone be opposed to changing the trade processing window from 48 to 24 hours?

Their penalty is I get to pay $12 less than expected for Vlad haha
-
4 teams did not participate in the Arb. That’s a good indication of engagement. Should be a penalty.
-
I am going to dump both Berrios and Yellich unless someone would like to make an offer

I agree. Award the best teams

Second that.

I'd support that

Is anyone interested in going with a single league format?
-
Damn DC, way to throw me under the bus. Let me go to your team and announce who are steals... haha
-
I don't suppose there's some way to override Ottoneu and make our trade deadline the same as the actual MLB trade deadline.
-
But only $10 and $8 for Lowe and Riley respectively. I'd say you're well ahead of the allocation curve. Burnes is a steal at that price.
-
I love democracy. Just like that Burnes is at least 23 bucks and i dont expect it to stop there.
-
Nice to see Rosario having a good time in Atlanta. I didn't get the impression he was particularly happy in Cleveland.
-
Reminder that arb starts tomorrow. If you won’t be returning next year, please let me know ASAP!
-
Congrats! That was a fun season -- looking forward to next year. Arbitration should start October 15 (see https://community.ottoneu.com/t/end-of-the-2021-baseball-season-megathread/10153).

10 per week. 20 total.

I always get confused with this. Is it 10 starts for the entire 2 week matchup? Or 10 starts per week so total of 20 starts for the entire matchup?

The biggest thing is a bad trade in a dynasty hurts for a long time.
-
I agree the owner churn hasn’t been ideal, and I appreciate owners trying to stockpile young, cheap talent for next year. It definitely comes at a premium in many cases. And I generally don’t have an issue with teams being rewarded for aggressively pursuing trades and making offers. I am obviously very active on that front too.
That said, I think folks should veto trades that they think are extremely unbalanced, and try to shop guys around before pulling the trigger when possible.
-
There are a few teams that really havent been playing this yr. Had a couple owners leave. It has been shit season in my opinion. Trading always makes it better but i can see how my first today has ruffled some feathers. Shouldnt be anything wrong with the 2nd considering im in desp need for ss with anderson in and out. Gleybor out. Lux sent back down due to trades this yr
-
The only other thing (and this applies to a number of trades) is I would encourage sellers to shop guys widely even when they get an offer that they find attractive. Put them on the block, post on the board, etc. so we can maximize return and things can be as competitive as possible.
