Thx, It was a great battle Jeters. Go Mariners!
-
Congratulations Dragonflies! Another season in the books. Hope everyone has a good off-season.. enjoys some playoff baseball.. and look forward to the start of some off-season tasks!
-
Well that was fun. Hope to see everyone back for next year. Take care until then.
-
We got a tight championship battle! Good luck!!!
-
Congrats to all that made playoffs! Remember this year you have all your SP slots but are capped at 7 starts.
-
Congrats Jeter's on the comeback to take the Points Title and #1 Playoff Seed !
-
Three team race for fourth!

Hey guys - I'm trying to make some quick deals to shore up my MI and/or SP before the OPL Playoff rosters lock on Wednesday morning. I've got OF and CI to trade if anyone is interested.
-
If anyone needs a 1B, Hoskins is available. Looking for a 2B or possibly SP. Other players available too so don’t be shy with an offer.
-
Hey everyone, I'm looking to trade one of my outfielders for a comparable 3B. If there is a way to get some SP in the deal, that'd be great too.
-
I saw an opportunity to address a position of need and get a serviceable replacement for players who I was planning on cutting in the off-season. Trout is obviously amazing but I can’t invest a quarter of my cap space into a player has struggled with injuries when I have so many other needs elsewhere. I’ve received a lot of what I consider unserious trade offers in the past and, facing another losing season and with nobody else asking, I figured something was better than nothing.
-
I made it clear to the commissioner and I will make it clear to everyone that I did not object to the trade being vetoed or even cancelled if the feeling was that it was in the best interest of the league. I really didn’t expect such a reaction and I apologize if I have spoiled the party.
-
We got any fathers in the league?
-
That pasquantino guy might be good and everything too but he was available about 30 days ago to the public.

One would have vetoed....and I’m sorry no one asked about trout earlier on your block but that is no reason to ship him out on the first offer you see. Anything can happen in the playoffs indeed but it feels like dragonflies just added Kevin Durant to the warriors circa 2016. Good luck out there!

I love this league too and everything guys but I’d like to kindly point out a few holes... deep space OF points per game is your strength because you have Trout in your line up...that other Trout trade mentioned by Dragonflies was in the offseason with no loan attached and didn’t effect in-season results..Out of the 12 voters 6 Vetoed and 2 Approved(I assume those 2 that approved were the ones trading) then that leaves 4 more votes on the table abstained and my guess is gun to their head they...

hmm..I suppose you're right, I hadn't thought of that about the past trade. was thinking only about the players.
-
You got trout and actually picked up cap space

You got trout and actually picked up cap space

Similar in value maybe but that trade didn’t have $100 loan attached so I think that’s why you saw vetos
-
also, last time he was traded was for a $4 Kirrilof and a $4 Jasson Dominguez. not that much different.
-
I agree with and appreciate Hitless here too. I love this league. My team is having a phenomenal season so far in points, yet anything can happen during the playoffs.
-
I would have been content with the vote going either way and agreed with Beuhler's words. I value Pasq and his future value very highly, and Walsh is no slouch. Trout is a rental for me as will be Moncada, both carry injury concerns. There is still a lot of baseball to play.
-
Well said Hitless!
-
Well that was uncomfortable. Congrats on the trade going through. No hate to you guys either, I think a lot of us were just shocked. As has been said, any of us could have made an offer but we didn’t, so... Good luck to everyone the rest of the way. Fortunately it’s a long season; anything can happen. Also, you guys are the 11 most knowledgeable baseball peeps I know and this league is the shit.
-
This league has been very lenient and I don't believe has ever used the veto so if 7/12 do vote to veto then I think there was something uniquely off about it that tripped the majority.
-
There is a Veto tool in this league for a reason, if a majority of the league feels that the trade is too unevenly balanced then it will come out. I don't think they are saying its not a smart move for you or Dragon or that there is collusion, just that it would be detrimental to the balance and fair competition the rest of the way, at least thats how i feel about how the veto should be used.
-
Since I stupidly traded for him in 2020, Trout has missed 2/3 of all possible games through injury. OF is one of my few positions of strength (5.05 p/g) and 1B is my weakest position (3.22 p/g). The Royals are terrible and Pasquantino (.973 OPS in AAA this year) will be seeing a lot of ABs soon. Trout has been on my trade block since last summer and yet Dragonflies was the only one to even ask about him. Veto away, if you must.
-
lukewarm hot dog & soft pretzel for one of the best players ever makes sense...right?

I hope the rest of the league joins me in Vetoing this trade

I can incriminate myself just fine, thank you very much.
-
Congrats to Dragonflies on your 2022 Ottoneu Championship. Deep Space, blink twice of Dragonflies has incriminating pictures of you.
-
Hey all, because the baseball gods hate me my team is yet again a dumpster fire, a lovable dumpster fire, but still a dumpster fire. Anyway, I have updated my trade block and am open for business!
-
Now that’s good action gentleman
-
This is insane!
-
I don't think I've ever seen this many players up for auction at the same time.
-
Congrats on all 3 OPL teams making the first cut.
-
It’s here! Happy Opening Day and good luck to everyone.
-
So I have too many catchers for my liking, open to offers on Narvaez or Garver if anyone is looking for a backstop!
-
Someone was supposed to remind me to add pitching last night in the draft (I got one reliever). I put some interesting OFs on my trade block. Hit me up with offers.
-
Reminder draft tonight!
-
I can do either tomorrow or 4/3!
-
Hope to see you all on this Sunday!
-
I’m wide open this weekend— I am available 3/18,3/19,3/20,3/21– also available 3/27
-
Thanks for the feedback Jeets and Hitless. We're at a point where its either going to be this weekend or the last weekend before the season. It might not be perfect unfortunately but plan on tentatively drafting this Sunday 3/20 at 4:30pm as long as I don't hear from 3 or 4 of you saying that time would be worse then 4/3 afternoon/night.
-
I'll be helping Jeets move so that would be a bad weekend for me as well.
-
The first weekend in April is a really bad weekend for me—- I work 4/1,4/3(I’m on 24 hr shifts) — my wife and I close on a house 3/30 and 4/2 is our moving date—- I could try to make one of the work days but it would be inevitable I get a call and have to leave in the middle of the draft
-
I’m all updated on poll! Would certainly be ideal to let the hot stove run it’s course before we draft, hope we can pin something down this time.

I did just open up the last weekend before the season started on the poll. As of now, I'm leaning towards that weekend as it would give us the most time for FAs to sign. We have 10/12 now for Sunday night of the 20th so if we can beat that on the first weekend of April that would be the goal. There was a double vote confusing me on the poll.
-
I can be available that weekend but have a work commitment that would make Saturday evening tricky for several hours.
