We might need 1 for the Baz team (Quincy's coming back but taking his time). I reached out to Niv and got his last known email (bc he was posting here like only a few weeks ago) and asked if he's coming back but I haven't heard anything. Just in case he's out of the country or something lets give him till 2/22. No one will be able to scoop it up without the password so your friend has first dibs.

I'm thinking 3/10 or 3/17, that way we have as much info as possible on whos available before opening day (3/20). Will try to keep it early-ish in the day like 6pm or something.

No idea why Stanton and Sale went to waivers when I cut them. Don't claim them or I'll force cut them -- they're going in the auction lol

Unfortunately, we can't do that for this season as it locks once teams have paid (woulda been the case weeks ago too). But we can discuss for 2025.
Playoffs are still an option until we do the auction draft, though I think we're still very split on that

I am against playoffs although I will go along with what the group wants. If the majority wants playoffs I think option 3 is the fairest to prevent the last week of the season from determing the champion. We will also need to get the Starting Pitching limits agreed upon if the group wants playoffs. The idea of moving up price tier to create a prize for the winner is the change I would prefer.

So having read the playoffs rules, I'd be a yes vote if we did option 3. Option 2 seems long for no reason, and option 1 would have half of the league making the playoffs, which I think somewhat defeats the purpose. (If we were like a 16 or 20 team league option 1 would be pretty fun, but I think the current league is too small to justify that one).

I'm a no vote FWIW, think the best team should win -- just like I hate Manfred's silly new playoff scheme with 2 of the top 5 worst WS teams by record facing off last year lol. So far we're 3 yes and 3 no.

I will be renewing. As for playoffs, I'm a no, but will be happy to go along with whatever the majority of the league decides. Since we are talking about changes - is there any interest in going up a price tier, or even an optional contribution to a pot off-platform for whoever is motivated by that sort of thing? I don't know if the latter option would violate Terms of Service though

Renewed! and feel the same as Ellis but I'm a yes on playoffs, I feel it gets stale (as a regular non-contender) lol when its clear who's gonna win by the first week of August

Happy to do whatever the majority wants, but my vote would be no on playoffs. I feel like it makes the league stale for the bottom 6 or 8 teams the last month and is too random given playing time concerns the last few weeks of the season. But again, I don't feel so strongly about it so will do whatever people want to do

Do we know how playoffs would work in a points league like ours where we don't play head to head? In my experience, playoffs are usually reserved for H2H leagues.

Hey everyone,
1. Please renew your teams if you plan to play in 2024. If not, let me know ASAP so I can search for a replacement.
2. Remember to make cuts by 1/31. If you forget, I can push them through but really only wanna use that as a last resort.
3. A league member is asking about instituting playoffs. It is possible to institute with our current scoring framework but I only want to do it if a majority want it. Let me know if you're in favor

Congrats to the Ellis Islanders, 2023 champs! I had a shot at a three-peat, but I was thoroughly out-managed in September. Ellis made much better roster and schedule management decisions, well done!
