Here is my side :) first I like that people in the league discuss the trades and give their thoughts. And they all are valid. I guess I'm higher than most on these 2 pitchers and maybe I gamble that they will fare as well as giolito or Burnes (who struggled at first). When I thought of trading Betts I looked at teams at the top and their assets and designated targets. Highland came in with an offer that included IMO top targets.

The only thing I ever say about these trades is I often wonder if the seller could have gotten more if they marketed to the whole league. Now, I wouldn't have paid more, but my team is in the cellar, but it illustrates that sometimes the market is what it is for high end, expensive players.

I know I said I would "let it go", implying I wouldn't comment on the trade anymore, but I do need to clarify that I haven't voted against the trade, and won't, despite my misgivings. I've received and turned down several trade offers equally agregious to that one, so it doesn't surprise me when one actually slips through. Okay, I PROMISE there will be no further comments on this or any future trades. I still like playing in the league, despite my lack of success thus far. You're a go

Trade is a little gross but I hate the vote against trades so I abstained. Betts and a loan for those two is an absolute steal. Just my opinion.

Neither prospect is as highly rated as they were a year ago, and thus far both have failed miserably at the MLB level. I guess it's subjective, but I for one thought it was questionable. Good luck to you both! I will let it go now LOL.....

I'll fix that so you don't have a cut penalty. I noticed a few import errors - that was one of them - and the other was I believe a minor leaguer on Otto-wan's team. I already adjusted the prices for the restricted free agents, so everything should be good to go, but let me know if you all spot any errors with the roster imports!

Alright all,
We have 11/12 teams in the draft room, so let's do this: I'll give Seatown a little more time to arrive, but I'll start the draft tomorrow at 6 pm Eastern Time, either way. It'll give the rest of us an extra day to do some research, which couldn't hurt, and I'll try and get things set up so the couchmanager results get exported here automatically (which I know can be done!).

Basically, how it works is: each team can have two active auctions at a time, so there will be 24 players up for auction at any one time. Each auction has a 24 hour timer, and new bids extend the expiration clock to 12 hours. If anyone objects to this format, let me know!

Hi again everyone! We haven't been able to find a good date, so I think the best option is a slow draft. I can set it up to start next weekend (more details to come). It'll take about two weeks to complete, by my estimation, and will have to be on separate site (couchmanagers.com). We've done it the last two years in a 20-team league, and it works pretty well.

Hi again everyone. I'm putting up an expanded poll including weekdays. We ended up with a good 2-hour window from 5-7 Eastern Time on March 20, but Shocknawe's mentioned he can't make it earlier than 630 Central (except for Sundays), and we had a few non-responses, so I'm going to hope we have a little more luck on the second poll, instead of trying to shoehorn us into that window. Hi all,
-Fidelio and wOBAcon requested the freeman / trout deal be canceled (accidental acceptance).
-I reduced the the trade approval window from 48 to 24 hours (this can be changed up until the draft)
-Changing the settings forced my to choose a draft date, and so I arbitrarily picked March 20. This date can be changed, though, and we'll set up a poll very soon, as we do in the normal course.

Right on Highland! My first time trying an allocation league so looking forward to it. The league skipped allocations with the short 2020 season, so still some solid values on each team.
