Years ago, I pissed off this league super hard by trading $49 Max Scherzer and $43 Nolan Arenado for then prospects $4 Vlad Guerrero Jr and $3 Fernando Tatis Jr. Part of it was I wasn't far out of contention at the time, but still, don't be a hater

well said, DC... also- especially since this is a keeper league-- a reminder that our initial impressions of trades are often way wrong in the long term

Would also add - as my two recent trades had a couple veto votes - if you want to know "why?!" Ask... You may not agree but that's what makes this game work, if everyone thought the same about every player the game would be fairly boring

Yeah, what chippy and d'aconia said. Absent vetoes, it's an approval. And I also agree with Alien Alliance that vetoes should really be reserved for collusion, of which there is none here. And if there were, the commissioners could reverse it and punt the owners into the sun, anyway.

the other issue is timing, trades get finalize in 2 days and we wouldn't want that to get held up by 1-2 owners not voting

I like this league off season requirement of prepayment BEFORE trade approval. I have no objection to same for in season. IMO, vetoes are for cheating. Dynasty is building MiLBers in the 40 man roster. And, if one wants to trade, arguably, three top inexpensive MiLBers for rent a players, that IS EXACTLY what what IRL MLB. The key to me is longevity.

I am in 4 leagues and generally see 1 or two votes at most - but the act of abstaining from the vote is similar to voting "OK" in my book

Would love to have everyone weigh in, but I'm not sure I've even seen a trade get 50% of the league voting.

What's on my mind you ask? I think Ottoneu trade rules should require all teams to either approve or veto.

I would benefit from pushing it to 6pm or 630 EST as well - not sure if that adds conflict for someone else, but if we can push it a bit, I wouldnt mind.

So from the existing feedback it looks like Saturday the 8th is out (one owner cant do until later, and another owner cant do late) But Sunday after 5pm EST seems clear for everyone so far. Anyone have an objection to Sunday evening, March 9th?

I am unavailable on Sunday the 9th from 2:00-5:00 (EST). I am clear all day Friday or Saturday, then Sunday morning or evening.

Yeah, that was as bloated a roster as I've ever seen. I guess that happens when you try to run 100+ teams at once.

Hi Y'all, I see we're struggling to find a quick consensus and it may be the case that we're just not going to find a day that works for 100% of the league, but we'll try to get as close as possible. I'm a bit swamped at work this week, but I'll confer with Co-Commish and see if we can get some specific options to everyone. We won't be looking to pick in the next week or so, so don't worry about that

16th evening is a no go due to another draft. Weekdays after 7pm can fly for me most of the time.

I can do most anything except the afternoon of the 9th (evening is okay).
Weekdays are tough. I cannot do Tue evenings, and I have stuff every other Mon & Wed.

Not sure if its relevant, but since some have concerns with Sunday as well, I am also OK with Monday the 17th after 7pm EST but I know time zones make it tricky on weekdays. Sunday the 9th would be OK for me as well

I already have one Ottoneu draft on the 15th. It's at noon CST, so I could do something 3 pm or later or a breakfast draft at say 8-9 am. I would prefer the 16th which is wide open for me regarding the specific time.

I would also prefer to avoid the 16th as I have two other drafts that day - but I can make it work if its the best option.

I couldn't do Sunday after 5:00 PM Eastern. My home league always drafts Selection Sunday at 7:00.
