Glasnow is a top 20 pitcher on an excellent contract and you moved him for a recent waiver wire claim.
-
i'll still hear offers for the rest of the team
-
you couldve offered more than chourio in your package before withdrawing. also welcome to veto..
either way thought i had better odds this year but ended up in the tank. not sure what you want me to do...
-
Studebakers ... if you really think Ronny Mauricio is worth Tyler Glasnow + Starling Marte, you probably should have bid more than $0 when he was nominated 5 days ago. This trade doesn't make much sense to me.
-
Stinks when you think you have a shot and your team ends up sucking. That being said, I will be going into sell mode. My block will be updated here shortly
-
Well I would argue 6/7 people that voted, vetoed and 6/10 people not involved in trade vetoed. Both of those are 50+1
-
I understand people are upset with the trade. but the veto can only carry with 50%+1 so nothing can be done with the trade.
-
You need 50% + 1 vote for the trade to not go through according to ottoneu rules. We also didn’t collude and I gave him what he wanted for them. Not really sure why it would be overturned.
-
That does seem like it should not have gone through. Commish? Any thoughts?
-
So it looks like 6 people vetoed that trade vs. 1 approved and it's still going through?
-
I would tend to agree, package is very very light for two top 40 players and a commensurate loan.
-
I feel like that trade is heavily lopsided there. I know its a salary dump by a team lower in the standings, but seems quite a bit disproportionate to me...
-
Looking to add OF and SP. Have a lot of top tier prospects I'm willing to discuss
-
Haha yes she will be driving. And thanks!
-
Hope the wife will be driving.....yes it isn't bad, the only thing is the boxes for nominations and bidding are a little small, you make the screen bigger then you lose other stuff on the screen, so watch out for that GL
-
Looking forward to it. Has anyone ever used the draft software on their phone before? I’ll be driving home from a weekend vacation with the fam. So the first bit I’ll be on my phone (possibly).
-
Draft tomorrow night 7 est! We will probably take a few 10 minutes breaks throughout the draft (8:15,9:30). Can’t wait for the season to start!
-
That time and date should work for me. I will be out of town the 3rd-5th, but I should be back by then.
-
7 pm ET is good for me, or 1015+, but like I said below, I will make whatever work the best I can!
-
Milwaukee Best never renewed his team despite all the moves he made I reached out and never got a reply back so we need one owner (if anyone knows someone let me know) With regards to draft time would 8 o’clock EST be better for you? No one said that the date didn’t work so I’m sticking with the 5th. Thanks!
-
Haha, I have a 6 month old that goes to bed at 645 pt, and 2.5 year old that goes to bed at 715 pt so later is tough for me. That being said, will do my best to make whatever we end up with work.
-
Any chance we could do it later in the evening? I have a 10 month old that goes to bed around 7:30 PM cst. So it would be better for me if we could do like 8:30 est (if that’s possible for everyone else). The 5th is good for me though.
-
A couple of people reached out and said they couldn’t do March 12th for the auction draft. I’ve moved the draft up one week to the 5th at the same time 7 est. Thanks HYG

Welcome to the league!
-
Hey guys, I just took over one of the teams in this league. I've played several Ottoneu leagues so I'm excited and maybe crazy to add another one!
-
Looking for one maybe 2 new managers if anyone knows anyone looking for a new challenge lmk
-
Gentle reminder that tomorrow is the keeper deadline/team renewal deadline.
-
Looking to move Bogaerts and Chapman(and others) if interested send me an offer
-
Looking to move Bregman before the deadline. Could also be talked into one of Turner or Bichette if I’m blown away.
-
Just a gentle reminder that league dues and the keeper deadline is January 31st.
-
AND Great job on allocations everyone. Except for the fact that I ended up in last place and have the second most money allocated to my team. :)
-
The only reason you wouldn't be OK with paying the following seasons dues is if you were planning on leaving right? Yes it's a part of ottonue to take on salary but it's not a part of it to take it on, win the championship, and then leave the league. Milwaukee's best took on near 600 before he bailed. The idea for taking on a ton of salary is that you then have to go through the interesting part of rebuilding. If teams leave, it defeats the purpose. I vote YES as well.
-
Final weekend to make your arbitration allocations.
-
Very excited for trade season! Little more than one week :)
-
I vote YES as well

I vote YES to the rule
-
I vote YES to the rule. Nobody is saying that you can't take on salary. What's being said is that if you do take on so much salary, you are expected to compete in this league the following season. You can't "take the money and run".
-
I know I haven't voiced an opinion on this before but can we at least vote on this? I don't really agree with this rule either. Taking on salary is part of playing Ottoneu and it happens in every league. And 475 is pretty low threshold to enforce this on.
-
I let the knights go rather than to have him stay in a huff, but from now on, the rule is that you have to pay your following season dues in order for a trade to go through that would bring you up over $475 payroll. No more exceptions. This is a really active league with a lot of owners who were here from the inception of the league, which makes it surprising that two league champions have left in a row. I'm dubious of the strategy to add payroll, win, and then leave. No more! ;)
-
Also, teams that go over $500 usually have more good pieces than a 12th place team that checked out in July, so not hard to find someone to take over IMO.
-
I think if you don’t want people to go over $500 you should just make it a hard rule. Easier than trying to track down next years buy-in from someone who left.
-
Apologies I don't remember something from 11 months ago
-
You commented on November 20th 2021 about it
-
Apparently I was aware of the rule I've been told, ok whatever, I'll be back in that case
-
I was not aware of the rule, other leagues do have that and its enforced during the season. There's payroll's this high or higher in every league I'm in, including my own payrolls if my team has a shot to cash
-
The knights are trying to leave our league now with the $515 payroll. Didn't we have a rule in place that you had to pay your next year's dues if you went over $475? This would be two years in a row that the league Winner went up over $500 in payroll and then bailed the league after winning and their responsibility to get their payroll down. It's a terrible trend to allow to happen. Who's to stop anyone from taking on infinite payroll and then bail the league?
-
Welcome Team to be named later I’m open to moving up a pay tier not sure about anyone else. Also arbitration starts tomorrow and ends November 15th make sure to allocate at least one dollar to every team. Good luck to everyone on their off season decisions.
-
Hi all, happy to be part of the league! Would the league have any interest in bumping to the $100 prize tier? At $50 only ~58% of buy-in goes to prizes while at $100 75% does.
Either way, have a fun roster I’m looking forward to!
-
Congratulations to the Knights for beating Hartford by a half a point. Wow. That's the closest I've ever seen. Bourbon street is abandoned so if anyone knows any friends that might want to take over tell them they can find them under the abandon team section of the ottonue. Let's do a good job of reminding each other about arbitration. Cheers.
-
That’s a wrap on the season! It was a tight race all season and came down to the last day! I’m looking forward to relaxing and watching some playoff baseball with my eye towards next year. Cheers!
