Jed, you have to be very pleased you didn't land Correa for $8, right?
-
If my goal was the drive up the price on a prospect that will take 4 years to make it to MLB, I succeeded. Job well done. Wow.
-
Accepted
-
Done.
-
$9!!!!!!....ok Enrico...was that your original bid or did you up it once we started talking about him?
-
Any of them, but I like Peralta more
-
I need some SP help like yesterday so I'll make it happen. There are RPs to be had in free agency.
-
Who is a better throw in RP?
-
I saw your trade proposal in the other league FMW....tyring to get a better handle on how long Morrow is gone before I commit. I would commit now for a better throw in RP
-
I bid $5 for Correa, I don't think that's cutting it. Didn't Rendon go for like $17 last season?
-
only 45 minutes from seeing how much Correa goes for...any last minute bidders? How much interest can we drum up on this message board to inflate his price?
-
Harper and Trout will both enter the tier of $40+ players next year, so to me keeping Harper is a no-brainer. To me he is still a vote-off candidate at $39.

Harper at 6.72 pts/G; Trout at 8.37 pts/G. If Harper went for $37 this season (still unbelievable) on just hype, what will he go for next year? And what about Trout?
-
Speaking of prospects, does Crying have the toughest decision of the off seaso (in-season) with Harper? Do you keep him at $39? The way he's playing he might just earn it next year, but that's steep...
-
Doesn't look like Ploooof will have SS eligibilty in 2013 though. Tough to imagine keeping up that .300+ ISO when he's never had one at .200
-
Let's get a pool going for what Correa will go for. I say $11.

I don't think I've ever been this excited about adding a Twin to a fantasy roster.

SS being as thin as it is, I can't believe I got Plouffe as cheaply as I did. Right when Furcal was starting to wear down a bit.

Ploof

Speaking of pickups, can I just say that I am schoolgirl-giddy over getting Trevor Plouffe and his .387 ISO over the last 30 days for $2.

I still think Rendon is tops for weirdest minor league overpay.

It is hard...I'm all in for 2012 and have next to zero prospects. Even if I win it this season, I may not sniff 5th place for several years after this...the price you pay.
-
Brian Roberts was a stud. That was a throwback pickup for the good old days.
-
oh I was just kidding...I'm sure I will have plenty more weird picks/trades. Points format (especially this one) is completely different for me but I love it. Finding the balance for competing this year, next year or long term is pretty hard
-
Sorry, just used Austin as an example. Still think $5 is expensive for a guy in Low A. Could be wrong though...
-
Oh. LOL. Trey's made some weirdo pickups this year (e.g. Brian Roberts). Don't let him throw you off your game bro.

wow...called out on the fangraphs message board...
-
This Ottoneu write up on Correa may scare off a few owners and be a gift to Enrico, who may get him for just $1. Don't let it happen.

BRob is back! One of my favorite players for years. No idea if he'll even be 50% of his old self, but a gamble worth taking. Love this guy.
-
Mike Trout begs to differ
-
This year's version of Shelby Miller is a great example of why I'm coming around on the "trade prospects for established MLB talent" argument.
-
But it worked the first six times...
-
Pay no heed to Trey. This is propaganda so Trey can drum up interest in a prospect so he can land an impact player by packaging this guy for a sub-par major leaguer. Trey!!! I'M ON TO YOU!!!
-
i have no opinion, I've literally never heard of him
-
Fangraphs lists him as the D'Backs 9th best prospect and a poor man's Randy Wolf
-
Three days ago a guy in low A ball gets picked up for $5 based on a fast start to the season. Tonight a 6'4' NL West southpaw prospect with a K/9 above 9 and BB/9 below 2 gets nabbed for $1. According to BP, Holmberg's #1 closest comp is D. Drysdale
-
Still interested in acquiring a mega-bat. Will pay quite a bit.

nice. I just just look up his stats, 186 lifetime HRs for the kid, not a bad ML career
-
nothing wrong with Glennallen...he hit the longest HR Ive seen at Wrigley...top of the rooftops across Waveland
-
um, ouch? Glenallen or Jonah, are those my choices?
-
He's actually a bit more like Glenallen Hill.

Enrico is now taking the face and shape of Jonah Hill in my mind....he's the new breed of "scout'''
-
Didn't Brad Pitt fire all of the A's scouts?
-
They like your style
-
The Athletics are on line 1...do you have any interest in cleaning toilets and possibly working your way up to a $20K per year scout?
-
I just sit back hoping guys don't get promoted so their inflation is only $1
-
is that even a serious question? Why would anyone look at MLB stats?
